J.W. Filmore's | Family Restaurant is a classic diner with a friendly face and super nice staff. This families favorite sit down restaurant is a wonderful place to have breakfast/lunch, and is one of the favorite go-to spots to visit in Petoskey. The food is delicious, with the fried cheese platter being amazing. The crossiant breakfast sandwich and the breakfast skillet are highlights, with the skillet being a new favorite breakfast item. The biscuits and gravy are loved, though the seasonings could be a tad more inclusive. On some visits, the food wasn't that great, with tater tots overcooked and bacon almost jerky at the edges. Prices have recently gone too high for the quality, offering mediocre/good food and coffee that takes you back in time. The food is filling and worth every dime, but for those looking for big flavor, this may not be the place.
