Amazing food, drinks, views & staff. The shrimp scampi linguini paired with a delicious Pure Michigan bourbon cocktail was fantastic but the bolognese keeps my wife coming back again & again. Highly recommend for a one of a kind dining experience.
Gang and I stopped in for dinner and the views of the sunset were just insane! Josh was our server and did a great job. Restaurant was extremely busy and Josh was very prompt with updates and communicating that there was a large group ahead of us and encouraged us to get some quick apps as it may take a little while. We have enjoyed the Beacon (Petoskey) all summer long and it hasn't disappointed -- in fact, it has over-performed and exceeded our expectations everytime ... the view, the food, the drinks and the service = 10/10 and all 5X times we we have eaten there this summer (2026).

The Beacon is a cozy combination of casual upscale dining. The service and atmosphere is amazing, with super friendly staff and impeccable service. The views are unbelievable, including a sunset of the frozen bay with the lighthouse in the distance. The food is absolutely phenomenal and always fabulous. Specific meals mentioned include the steak frites with truffle fries and greens, the best truffle parm fries, Brussel sprouts with dipping sauce and cranberries, walleye that is flaky and cooked to perfection, and the Chef Special Rasta Pasta with an enormous amount of flavor. Mixed drinks and mocktails are great. Happy hour has half off drinks and prices hard to beat. The Beacon is a favorite spot in Petoskey.
