“Alright, so we've lived in Philly and Chicago, tasted some top-notch food, you know? But The Historian? Man, it's right up there with the best!Started things off with those French deviled eggs – just wow! Then, I went for the tomahawk pork chop, and seriously, it's like they've mastered the art of making pork taste like heaven. Cut into it, and it's as smooth as butter. Me and the hubby gave it a solid "best pork chop ever" vote. ?Hubby tried the hanger steak, and it was pure deliciousness. The flavors, the tenderness – spot on. His old fashioned cocktail was also fabulousAlready planning our next date night at The Historian. It's a no-brainer; we're bringing our friends along for this foodie adventure. Can't wait to dive back into this tasty haven!“

“Local Pour is a Gem! They are dedicated to Michigan Craft Beverages - what a worthy cause! Their curated selection of wines, beers, spirits, and mixers never disappoints and is constantly evolving. The owner and staff are very knowledgeable, yet very easy to talk to. I was surprised at how large the selection of wines and beers they had on hand, and they make a good cocktail too.Not only do they offer great service and exciting events at Local Pour, but they also have a catering license. This means that you can have them pour Michigan wines, beers, and spirits at your own private event. My husband and I had Steve Salisbury, an employee at Local Pour, come to our house to present and pour wines for a wine dinner. Steve made everyone feel a part of the conversation, whether they were a wine aficionado or a novice. He gave great background information about Michigan wines in general as well as sharing the stories of the producers and vineyards. It was a memorable night for everyone! I highly recommend this service!“

“Had a Groupon for four and visited on a sunny summer Saturday. We got there right when they opened and had the place to ourselves for a bit. We’d called ahead and they were dog friendly so we bought our pup.The guy doing the tasting was super nice, very accommodating and really sweet. I feel awful but his name has totally escaped me.The wine tasting was nice. Lots of options to choose from with 5 pours included and some pretzels. We liked the whites and the fruit wines and ciders especially. The staff member kept our water glasses filled which I appreciated it. A nice time! Would recommend.“
“Free run specializes in small batch (mostly) dry wines & residual sugars only reach 5%. A sommeliers paradise with a relaxing view while servers provide an easy interactive experience. There are not only great wines, but hand crafted cocktails, pale ales, and hors d’oeuvres. This winery is Round barn’s hidden gem, so don’t miss your opportunity to see what Free Run has to offer.“

“Two words... wine club. Seriously for $99 and you get 2 tastings at 5 locations at every visit? It pays for itself in one or two trips... plus a discount/membership pricing! This spot is off Red Arrow Highway, and looks like a little house. It has several times and ample wine bar tasting seating as well. They do not have food, but their wine is great!! I love their cream liquors! Such fun flavors and so delicious! They also sell wine by the glass... but don't be my husband and get a $21 glass of wine....Join that wine club and check them out!“
