First place I came when I moved to Michigan and turns into my comfort food place. Have the hot bread and garlic when you get the table is enough already, everything you order later is a plus. I love their shawarma!!! Staff are good, parking is easy any day and anytime you go. Not usually needs reservation. This is a must go in Michigan!!!

I’ve been coming here for years. We always order a fattoush salad, kibbee nayeh, and the lamb kebabs. Both the Fattoush and lamb kebabs are always amazing! The kibbee nayeh has gotten worse each time we go. The amount of meat they use seems to be getting less and less each time we go. This time there was so much bulgur the kibbee was falling off the fork. It was very crumbly. We specifically choose Middle Eastern restaurants based on the availability and quality of their kibbee nayeh so we may not return. It seems like they are trying to save themselves a buck by adding more of the bulgur an less of the meat and charging the same amount. This is not cool La Marsa. Go back to your original meat to bulgur ratio and stop ripping us off. We see what you are doing. I wish I took pictures of each time to post but sadly I didn’t.
We loved our visit here. From the warm bread on each table to the great selection of entrees. I had the lamb chops with sides of salad and French fries. The chops were a nice size and cooked to perfection. The salad was fresh and crisp. The fries were some of the best I’ve had in a long time. My bride had the chicken shawarma and said it was excellent. A great experience overall. Highly recommend.

I am beyond frustrated with this location. I always order the same thing as my meal, meat grape leaves. They are always inconsistent. Sometimes they have very little sauce but, today takes the cake. They are about half the size of what the used to be. I would’ve ordered more if I would’ve know. I visit other La Marsa locations but this is the only one that does this.

Everything was “off.” We are blessed with a number of good Mediterranean restaurants near us (Livonia) so we have a strong basis for comparison. The mint lemonade was bitter. The baba ghanoush was tasteless. I’ve never see moussaka served as a stew rather than as a layered casserole type dish and it was bad. Seemed to have a burnt taste. One in our party simply had their entree taken away after a few bites. Prices were a little on the high side. Service on a late Sunday evening (7:30-ish) was good but the food was a waste of time.

La Marsa has incredible food for the Brighton area, and is a mainstay of our monthly budgeting. Generous portions of delicious food at a reasonable price, a kind staff, and a lovely atmosphere are only slightly hindered by the difficult parking lot they find themselves with. Don't let that stop you, as their standout sandwiches are well-worth it.
