We recently dined at Wooden Spoon for our Anniversary. We got a seat in the bar area because we didn't make a reservation. I had the short ribs with a mole sauce and my husband had a wagyu flank steak. We were both very happy with the meals. We had a flourless chocolate cake with a raspberry puree. It was incredible and rich, a great dessert for sharing! The service was good as well and someone came around later to check that everything had been to our liking. I definitely recommend this place. If you're going on weekend tho, make a reservation.

My husband and I just had our first dinner night since having our first baby and I cannot rave enough about how incredible of a culinary experience we had here. We lived in D.C for three years and experienced some of the best restaurants and this experience was better than some of the top rated restaurants we experienced there. Down to the service, drinks, appetizers, everything on the plate was cooked perfectly. There was not a element on the plate that was not edible or cooked to perfection. This place understands food and how to serve it!

We recently attended wooden spoon for dinner with some out of town guests . Overall our waitress was terrific and usually are , specialty drinks were great . The food is always very fresh and they have the best mushroom soup in the area. Our only overall complaint is the menu rarely changes , limited choices and it's summer and almost everything on menu has heavy sauces, and are heavy meals . Wish they had more refreshing light fare less heavy sauces and more refreshing meals to compliment the heat.

Interesting layout. Lots of tapas and small plates on the menu. Server seemed a little confused as they kept asking if we wanted appetizers yet it wasn't listed it that way on the menu. Special was fried rice which isn't a easily sharable tapas. It was flavorful, and was a nice plate. The gnocchi was not gnocchi. It was ravioli or maybe some other name. It was cheese balls wrapped in a dough. Kinda like cheese sticks.... Flavors good concept needs work

We sat outside on a nice day for an early dinner. My salmon salad was good. Fish dip was not good, consistency was strange and a little liquidy. Prices are somewhat high.

I had time before a meeting in Brighton and wanted to support a local restaurant. What a wonderful treat this was. Very nice outdoor seating. Excellent service from Karrie who guided me through the selection of local beers on tap. The mushroom/brie soup (their signature soup) was some of the best mushroom soup I've had and the cajun beef tip Caeser was excellent. Highly recommend.

I just spent a week in Brighton and stopped in because I was intrigued by their sign, a giant wooden spoon. I'm so glad I did! This place is so amazing I went there twice in one week. The food is imaginative, classically prepared and flavors on point. All sauces and dressings are scratch made. I had the truffled gnocchi appetizer which was fresh and delicious. Another small plate I tried was the sweet and sour tofu with sesame and pineapple, also delicious. My favorite dish was the mushroom and Brie bisque. I would return for that soup next time I'm in Brighton! The service is great, from hostess to bartender to GM. Every attention to detail with a genuine caring attitude.
