Today Paul and I stopped at Cherry Creek Cellars in Brooklyn, Michigan. For those of you unfamiliar with this gem of a winery, it has been fashioned out of an old, one room school house and ten acres of property that have become the vineyard. We like to make runs to this place several times a year to pick up one of their specialties, an extraordinary cherry wine that seems to be liked by all of our friends. We have taken to just buying a case when we go because it is perfect for get-togethers of almost any size. Whatever we open always gets used! Today, they had to call to the storage facility to get a full case brought up to us. It was brought by Kyle. Kyle knows everything about the vineyard, the growing of the grapes, how to manage pests, and so on. He was kind enough to give us a personal tour, tell us so much about how things are done, and how they combat unfortunate years when the weather inhibits the growth of the grapes. It was fascinating and he probably gave us a good 45 minutes of his time. We feel so lucky to have met him and to have been given this remarkable private tour. For those unaware, this year, the spring played havoc with vineyards because it was too wet and humid, causing diseases that can affect the vines adversely. Some of the vineyard still produced, but a lot was hurt. This vineyard has received the mark of an environmentally sound business that does all its growing and wine making in ways that don't do harm. If you are out towards the Irish Hills anytime in the future, please stop in and see them. They are totally awesome with a wide selection of fine wines that will impress you. Jim picked one called Raspberry Beret to take home and it was totally delicious in our taste test. You won't regret a trip to this place!

Great winery with excellent selection of dry & sweet wines. Set in an old school house. We tried the dancing elephant cider and it was great ! Beautiful outdoor area. Staff is very friendly.

When we arrived , first time at place, trying something new..... no one acknowledged us, so after sitting at the table for a bit i went to the bar to wait more. We ordered wine tastings and food. After waiting nearly 40 minutes for a charcuterie board and a flatbread, we got one of the staffs attention . They asked what the problem was, we explained, they graciously credited us and made the board and told us the flatbread would be coming omly to wait another half hour and still no flatbed, to ask again to find out they decided to NOT make the flatbread. To make it better one of the people in our party went to the restroom to hear staff in the kitchen bashing us, noting they had already credited us for the flatbread..what more do we want.. . The one they were still going to bring. Then came to the table to tell us if we wanted to wait another 10 minutes or so we could take it with its. Well no thanks and no plans to return.

Owner is the scum of the earth that preys on women, is violent and manipulative.

The “Peachy Keen” flatbread is hands down the best thing I’ve ever had. Obviously LOVE all their wine. We hosted our gender reveal here. The staff is amazing. The owner is hands on. MUST COME!

We were here as part of the Harvest Host program. Good wines and really good food. Very helpful people and lots of room for big rigs and many rigs. Looking forward to returning with as many others as we can round up!

Stopped on a whim on the way home from a weekend at the nearby state park. We both had flights and some food. Great service. We were even able to have our dog join us on the outside deck area.
