The building looked very rough but I'm so glad I took a chance on Golden City. The food is exceptional. The quality is great and the flavor is wonderful. It is a drive-thru restaurant only.
Best take out in the area. Great food, friendly staff, and huge portions.
Hands down best Chinese we've had in the greater Genesee County area. It was so good we went 2 days in a row lol. The General Tso's chicken and fried rice is phenomenal! Perfect flavor, heat, and quantity. Egg roll was delicious too! We will go no where else from now on. Highly recommend

Golden City Restaurant | Chinese is highly praised for its delicious Chinese food and generous portions. Many reviews highlight that it offers the best Chinese cuisine in the Flint area and Genesee County. The restaurant has been in business for many years, maintaining a clean environment and providing excellent service. Customers appreciate the fast drive-thru window, which makes it a convenient go-to spot in Burton. The food is consistently hot, flavorful, and well-priced, often surpassing other local options. Popular dishes like fried rice and honey garlic chicken receive special mention for their rich flavor and quality. Some reviewers note minor issues, such as a strange zucchini in the sweet and sour sauce, but overall, the food and service remain highly satisfactory. The restaurant's long-standing reputation, good portions, and friendly staff make it a favorite for those seeking tasty Chinese food in the area.
