The Blue Heron Cafe catered my wedding and the food was fantastic!! Everyone at my wedding couldn't stop raving about how delicious their meal was. Many of our guests stated it was the best wedding food they've ever had. Julie and Brian are so sweet and very organized. You can feel the pride and joy they provide in their services and how much they love what they do. We couldn't thank them enough for being a part of our special day!If you are considering having the Blue Heron Cafe cater your wedding, contact them now! You won't regret it!

Drove a half our and the place was closed even though it was 12:30 and it said they were open on the front door. Also said open online.

Its a great little place to get some food. Just sad that prices had to go up for some things. Great service and great customer service for a little town

Wonderful cafe. We stop here for Lunch when on our way north. Soup is tasty, bread and sandwich is top notch. Salad is always fresh and includes nice amount of fruit - in any season.

We had a large group of 8 and went to Blue Heron for the first time on a Saturday morning. We were greeted right when we walked in and were sat immediately. Our waitress was very friendly and was very attentive to our table. We were constantly refilled with coffee and water and our food came out fairly quick. The food was delicious, especially the potatoes! It’s never easy to handle a big group but they did quite well. 5 stars!

Blue Heron is the place to eat breakfast or lunch in Cadillac. At least, that's what I was told by many locals, and I was told to get the fresh donuts, too. Unfortunately, they were out of donuts when I visited! It was a bummer, but maybe you'll be luckier than I was and you can enjoy a donut for me. They have a kids' menu here, with breakfast items like oatmeal & toast, scrambled eggs & ham, and cheesy scrambled eggs & toast on the breakfast menu, and grilled cheese, ham & cheese sandwich, and pb&j on the lunch menu. My children were being petulant when we visited and didn't want to order anything, so they sat there while I enjoyed my breakfast. But if you have kids who actually want to eat while visiting Blue Heron, you're in good hands! I enjoyed my Farmers Omelet, which came with bacon, chorizo (made in-restaurant), caramelized onions, sweet potatoes and white cheddar. It was an unusual omelet (who thinks to put sweet potatoes in an omelet?), and it was delicious. It was a wee bit sweet because of the sweet potatoes and caramelized onions, but ask for some hot sauce and it will all balance itself out. Omelets come with potatoes. The black coffee here is great, and comes in nice, sturdy coffee cups. You can ask for a cup of coffee to go at the end of your meal and they'll give you one.

Ordered the homestyle country breakfast, and the breakfast potatoes were excellent! Eggs were done to perfection. However, the sausage patties had no flavor unfortunately… could not eat them. I shared the concern with the waitress and expected that she would remove the 2.95 up charge for the meat however, that was not offered. I may be back, but would not order the sausage patties again and do not expect a tweak to your bill if you are unhappy.
