Service is top notch, food is flavorful, fresh, made to order! Your favorite dish made special for you, comforting and delicious, every single time. <3
I have NEVER encountered a such rude service as the woman who answers the phone ( it’s usually the same person). This time we asked for a to-go order, and we politely asked if we could have some freshly made egg rolls (This is because we have gotten ones before that had obviously been sitting around). Before I could even finish placing the order, she started yelling at me that I better come RIGHT NOW if I wanted fresh egg rolls. I told her I was on my way (about 3 minutes away)....read full review

Based on the reviews, House of Hunan offers a mixed experience. The restaurant is noted for having friendly, amazing, and attentive service, with employees described as super pending on customers. However, opinions on the food are divided. Some reviewers describe it as a fantastic spot for high-quality Chinese cuisine, with food that is consistently fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. They mention generous portions, reasonable prices, and dishes served hot and fresh. Specific positive mentions include the Hunan Chicken, described as fire with great flavor, and perfectly cooked chicken that is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
Other reviews are more critical, calling the food very mid or mediocre. The General Tso chicken was described as chewy, low quality, and drowned in sauce. Other complaints include bland egg rolls, off egg drop soup, weak tea, stale fried rice, and a peculiar burnt flavor in the chicken. The atmosphere is described as run down with an old musty smell and uncomfortable booths. While some find the prices ok, others feel that for about 25 bucks a piece, there are more flavorful places to eat, though you do get a lot of food.
