Rick Gilman and I recently hosted an event with the Lakeshore Corvette Club, where nearly 30 Corvettes with passengers cruised together from Holland to Caledonia. The venue went above and beyond by parking all of our cars together as a group and providing a spacious room where our members and guests could sit comfortably. Weeks later, we’re still hearing rave reviews—not only about the experience itself, but also about the outstanding food and service. Thank you, Butcher Block Social !
This past Friday evening it took 1 hour and 45 minutes from being seated to receive our food. The wait staff only took orders from 1/2 our table and then didn’t come back until much later. I had to go find them. The food was good once it arrived, but the wait staff was frazzled and bordered on incompetent. Where is management? Who’s overseeing this disaster?
Have been previously. Will return again.

Very much appreciated the service and atmosphere but all BBQ meats we tried weren’t any good.

It was difficult to hear conversation more than one person away, and that was before the live music started (which is when we left). The prices seemed reasonable, but somehow, the tab ended up at $180 for six people, and only three of us had drinks (and each only one), and only two has a dessert. Server was friendly, but not very attentive.

I came here recently for dinner and unfortunately it left much to be desired. This was not the first time I came here but I believe it will be the last. We were seated right away and the atmosphere was fine. It wasn't too busy. Our server came over and we were trying to order drinks, two of the drinks we wanted were out of stock, we tried for a third option and that seemed to be ok. Unfortunately the server came back and said that one was also out of stock, whatever no big deal. Ordered something else. Moved on to ordering the food. Now, pay attention to the pricing, they have a platter option called '1-2-Q', or something along those lines. If you order pulled pork (which is what I got) or pulled chicken, you're actually paying more for the same amount of food than you would if you ordered everything à la carte. 1/2# of meat, 2 sides. Up charged by $1 for no reason, not a big deal but it's the principal of it. Now, when ordering the food we explained the price discrepancy to our server who responded that she doesn't make the prices. I felt that was an odd, and slightly rude response. She may not make the prices but it's relevant to her job, no? Regardless, she said we could order it a la carte and so we did. The food comes out and the Mac n cheese had cold spots in it, the pulled pork had a large amount of oily water in the bottom of it and was not very good, but the tots were fine. Over all it was a very disappointing experience for a meal that cost around $100. I don't think I will be back unless I hear that they've changed things.

Went in for my son's birthday lunch. Main menu items like sandwiches and burgers were amazing, sides left a little to be desired. Seems like a solid smokehouse menu, but depends on who's running the kitchen for sides...
Lunch time, 20 people for 3 waitresses. Our waitress seemed distracted as we ran out of soda, had water for back up though. Sat for about 10 min waiting for check too. Not sure what she had going on that day but seemed distracted. Could've just been an off day for her.

Butcher Block Social was the perfect venue for our son and new daughter-in-law’s rehearsal dinner. It was held in the barrel room and the beer garden which allowed the perfect atmosphere for a lovely fall evening. The food was fantastic and our server Grace did a phenomenal job handling all the drink orders thought the event. The location was ideally located between Grand Rapids and Bay Pointe Resort. Grace, the catering co-ordination was very helpful with our meal selection and answering all my questions during the planning stages. We are extremely satisfied with everything.

While searching for gluten-free options, your restaurant showed up—but after checking your menu, it looks like you don’t actually offer any. Why is your restaurant listed as having gluten-free items if that isn’t the case? If you ever do add them, it would be really helpful to clearly label them. Until then, I’ll have to pass on dining here.
I am shocked it took me so long to get here. This place rules. I had the wet burrito with pulled pork. so yummy.
