We were passing through town and my husband wanted a fresh pasty. We stopped at Jen’s Kitchen and his pasty was warm, had a light, flaky crust and was packed with flavor. I got a chocolate chip cookie and it was also delicious. Also, prices were very affordable. There were many other tasty looking treats but that will have to wait for a future visit.

The breakfast pasty is the best pasty I’ve ever had. We got here at about 9:45 Monday morning and got the last one. Savored every bite! They said the breakfast pasties go pretty quick on Mondays, so plan for a stop!

Average food, nothing fancy. Pasties are some of the worst in the UP

Delicious pulled pork sandwiches, beans, and mac & cheese! Best food we’ve had in the UP in 2 years. Not a place to sit down and eat though. The bars and cheesecake were good too!

HUGE pasty served here, twice the size of everyone else’s in the U.P. I tried the original and breakfast pasty yummy! Super friendly and fast service. Thank you so much!

The people there are so nice. The food is so good! I love the chicken salad and my husband loves the pasties. They are also expanding what they offer + it is just a great place to eat in a great atmosphere.

Living in Milwaukee, pasty options are rare and usually underwhelming. Having been born and raised in Keweenaw County, I know my way around a good pasty. But not being back as frequently as I used to be, things change. So I had to use my resources and survey “who has the best pasties?” My goal was to stow some stuffed-folded-crusts of goodness in my cooler to bring some back with me so that I may have them on hand for quite some time. Low and behold, the former “Connie’s Kitchen”, now owned by Jen and renamed “Jen’s Kitchen” won the popular (and electoral) votes. I picked up my savory treats today and headed back to Milwaukee with the mouth-watering smell of my breakfast pasty filling the passenger compartment of my car. I couldn’t take it anymore so I ate it. And I ate it quick because it was that…damn…..good! Wow!
Thank God I have three more of those and three regular ones because I’m sure I’d be kicking myself in the booty if I hadn’t gotten as many as I did today.
Jen, Staff, keep up the great work. Be proud of the product that you’re putting out. I will reluctantly share one of each with a buddy at work (he knows his pasties pretty well too) because I want him to have the same “Wow” experience that I did. But selfishly, I want to be able to also say to him, “See? My town’s pasties ARE better than your town’s pasties!”
🤘🏼😎🤘🏼.
One suggestion: Don’t change a thing! Thank you!
