“I have been getting my coffee here as I can remember. First I had it shipped to California and now since I moved home I drive to Calumet and get it when I need it. I stopped in today on my way to farmers market. The Straits and Borealis are my go to, but they are all fantastic.”

“I love stopping into this local spot in Algiers Point! It’s a great spot to treat my kids to fries, a Coca Cola, and some soft serve with chocolate and sprinkles. “The bartender was friendly and accommodating. The place is fabulous with beautiful woodwork, the large mural covering the entire back wall, massive carved cabinets, a vintage cash register and the amazing stained glass canopy Most people there were tourists and didn't stay long but it's worth having a drink or two here to soak up the 1890 ambience.”

“Lovely old course to play on vacation. The gentleman in the clubhouse was great, helpful etc. One of the guys mowing was rude when I tried to find out where to leave my cart at the end of the round. Probably needs to find a job with little to no human contact.”

Food was great, wait staff had the best timing and smiles, and everything tasted so fresh and perfect. I love trying new eateries but when in Calumet, we will always choose Carmelitas!
