“I like to think of myself as an amateur diner connoisseur, and this place just exceeded my expectations. Don’t think I’ve ever even left a review, but Slim’s deserves 5 stars. The hash browns were actually crispy, the eggs weren’t undercooked like diners often do, and the cini-mini French toast & sausage patty hit the spot. The portion size was very filling. There was even the group of old men in the back that I always love to see when I go out to breakfast anywhere. The waitresses were kind and down to earth and the whole experience was just a 10/10. This is definitely now my go-to spot.”

“Really cool place inside. Service is super friendly and quick. Reservations are for sure recommended and luckily someone suggested that to us ahead of time so we were prepared too. Really good menu options and they have specials on Fridays (not sure if it's a weekly think or only Friday) and we both got the Bang Bang shrimp bowl and our two other friends got a full slab of ribs with Carolina Gold sauce. It's a mustard based BBQ sauce and it is finger licking good! I really liked all the fresh ingredients in everything they made. Good drink selection, full liquor setup and bartender was knowledgeable and really nice. It was just a great vibe in there. You get the feeling that everyone knows everyone but if you're an outsider, you don't feel like one. If you're in the Keweenaw, make it a point to stop and have a bite.”

“Eva’s is a great place to stop by and have a few drinks. The pizza is AMAZING! The service was fast and friendly. The outdoor seating area is so nice! High recommend and will definitely be back again!”

“Best mocha ever. Clean and chocolatey. Also had a very delicious breakfast pasty (served as my lunch and dinner)! As a bonus the kind barista recommended a nice hike in the area after I mentioned it as my next order of business.”

“Cannot say enough about Shutes! First off, Pat is incredible and made our experience even more special and his special Bloody Mary is spectacular (summer season treat so get it while it lasts!). Bar was built in 1890, everything is original except the current mural and furniture/appliances. You must stop in and stay a bit!”

“This is a must stop if you are in the area. A very unique store featuring fresh baked goods, homemade jams, and other sweets. Run by Monks, this place offer an experience you won't get anywhere else. You'll find jams you've never tasted before, and probably won't find elsewhere. Selection is incredible! The secret is out though, so don't be surprised to find a line out the door! It is well worth the wait.”

“A hidden gem! Fries hand cut while we watched at the bar and fried to deliciousness! Great homemade ranch to dip or good ole fashioned ketchup. Tommy was a great bar tender, handling cooking the food and keeping the bar. As promised, one of the BEST Rueben’s I’ve ever had! We will definitely be back!”

“Best pasty in the area. I waited a bit for my food and the waitress came be and said “I thought I’d wait for the fresh ones to come out of the oven for you”. Wow, what thoughtful service. And the coleslaw on the side just completed a wonderful meal. Always a spot to check out when in the Keweenaw.”

“Great "Mom and Pop" restaurant with delicious food! Best breakfast out we've had in a very, very long time!! We had the corn beef hash (came with 3!!eggs) and sourdough toast, a HUGE homestyle pancake, homemade biscuits and gravy with fluffy scrambled eggs and yummy, smokey bacon. Homey, small town vibe with friendly staff. Extra large portions, with amazing prices. Cash only, so come prepared. ATM at the local grocery just down the street (worth the extra stop for sure). Would definitely come back!Parking: Parking out back, as well!”

“Stopped at the Bar for lunch, had footlong hotdogs, sat outside, watched the birds flying around the cliffs, and the hummingbirds at the feeders. Enjoyed ourselves, was a very nice stop, server was very friendly, the hotdogs were good, I really liked their relish, it was different and very good!”

“Best pasties anywhere! I've been visiting the Keeweenaw every summer for 60 years and sampled lots of pasties. When Connie's opened 35 or 40 years ago, these became our favorite. Jen is doing a great job keeping up the tradition. (And now taking credit cards is a big plus.)”

“Lovely old course to play on vacation. The gentleman in the clubhouse was great, helpful etc. One of the guys mowing was rude when I tried to find out where to leave my cart at the end of the round. Probably needs to find a job with little to no human contact.”

“A very old unique restaurant and experience. If you are in the area you should come in and eat here. We had breakfast and it was very good and not expensive. Check the hours of operation. We would definitely return to eat here when in the Lake Linden area.”

“My wife and I have gotten pizza from here many times and it's quite good for being made at a gas station. I personally think it's better than a couple of local restaurants that even deliver!?!? If this Godfather's had delivery they would kill it up here. The price is reasonable and they give hearty amounts of toppings. Very much worth the short drive to pick it up in store. They did mess up a pizza of ours once, but had no issue getting another one made fresh right away. They even offered a refund. We enjoyed the new fresh, correctly made pizza very much!”

“Limited experience, only came to watch a football game since they have more and larger TVs than my usual watering hole.They have KBC Widowmaker on tap, so extra points there. TV viewing was good, even had small screen TVs in individual booths!I cannot speak to the food, but the wait staff was friendly and responsive.It was a casual older crowd, not boisterous but fun.I returned the following week to watch another FB game and experienced a surprisingly small crowd, which was fine by me. Once again, everyone was friendly, wait staff mindful, so all was good. I will probably return as I live in the area.”

“OMG, what a find. Food is awesome, even by big city standards. Drunken Pig sandwich was excellent, as was the chicken panini. Service was extremely friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back. There were too many good choices to not try more of there offerings. Decor is eclectic and adds to the experience. Five stars for sure!”

“We went into The Matador today telling them we just moved to Baraga about 8 months ago and have been driving around looking for our favorite pizza spots. Well they are definitely one of our favorites. We loved their crust and how the crust was cooked. Their sauce was very good. And their cheese and toppings had great flavor. We will definitely be going back for more!”

“Service was great, and friendly. Atmosphere inside was typical of a decent local Mexican restaurant.. Outside they often have good music and it's a nice and comfortable courtyard. Food was good, I've only had their nachos. They were decent. Could have used more meat and toppings, but overall a nice place.”
