“There is nothing like locally made ice cream and this place NEVER disappoints! Your best selling tactic is free samples. Although I came for ice cream, I walked out with both sorbet and ice cream! Excellent strawberry sorbet and cookies and cream ice cream… looks like I’ll be putting on a few more pounds this summer! Can’t forget to mention the super friendly staff and impeccable clean store. “Such an eclectic menu! From walking tacos to wraps to pizza. Her pizza is THE BEST! The crust is not dense and has a lot of flavor. The cheese is nothing you have probably tasted before on a pizza. I enjoyed the BBQ Chicken Wrap. It was enough for two people. Afterwards, if you have enough room, she has a pretty big selection of ice cream. A few choices are not your typical favors too.”

“I love stopping into this local spot in Algiers Point! It’s a great spot to treat my kids to fries, a Coca Cola, and some soft serve with chocolate and sprinkles. “Best Detroit style pizza ever. Crispy cheese on the edges. Slightly chewy, very flavorful bread. Delicious with high quality and often locally sourced ingredients? I'm not sure how they pull it off. They have the most creative and surprising specials every week. Their toppings have singlehandedly introduced to me many new culinary delights that I didn't even know EXISTED until I had them on one of these specials. Their standard pizzas are incredible to boot.”

“This is a Great Breakfast diner! If you are flying to Isle Royale via Isle Royale Seaplanes you can walk to Candie’s from their parking lot after you’ve checked in - and Candie’s service is fast. Great last hot meal before camping.”
