“I've lived in a good number of states and been to a few different countries. Milly's makes some of the best food I've ever eaten. I miss them desperately after leaving the U.P. Make sure to stop in for a pizza special while you're in town.”
“Stopped in for a bag of Swedish sugar for when I make my own nisu and picked up a couple of chocolate croissants and a couple cardamom cinnamon rolls today. They were delicious! Yum!”
“Friendly family owned business with great food My friend & I have been going there once a week for breakfast ever since they opened. It’s our #1 restaurant choice for breakfast. Kelly & Annie have made us feel like family.”
“First visit today. The pulled pork and burger were great. As were the sides of mac and cheese, slaw and tots. If there is such a thing, the tots are world class.”
“Absolutely the best pizza. We had a thin crust with sausage and pepperoni. Thin crisp crust was delicious, perfect mix of sauce and meat. Nicely poured glass of wine and I loved seeing the historic theater. They are still working on getting things set up but boy do they have their pizza figured out. P.S. The place was extremely clean.”
“Had a great time at this fun little neighborhood Yooper bar. Both bartenders were excellent. And they still had my wife's purse the next day after she forgot it there the previous night.”
“Very reasonable pricing. Bartender was rock'in. He was amazing!! The place was busy and he did not stop moving! I would not have even been able to keep tabs of the tabs he had going!”
“5th & Elm has moved to 426 Quincy Street in Hancock. Combined with the Orpheum Theater. The parking deck is deteriorating and will be demolished during the summer of 2023. Improvements to Lakeshore Drive planned.”
“This is the best supper club. I could not decide between the BBQ pizza and the margarita pizza and I was not disappointed! The staff was friendly and the owner was wonderfully charming. I hope I get to eat here again!”
“Brandie was an excellent waitress. She made some excellent recommendations for our order, and it was all very good. Fish tacos, pizza, Philly Cheesesteak, waffle fries, Chicken Cesar Wrap, and Ravioli with garlic creme sauce. ALL great! Keep up the great work Ginos!!”
“This place is what I'm going to miss most when I leave the area. I haven't found another place serving Mexican food that can stack up in terms of flavor OR service. The wait times here are incredibly short somehow, and their margaritas are great for groups.”
“Fantastic every time we go. Even with a dozen parties ahead of us, we were in fast, amazing service, and the food is always spectacular. I highly recommend the Pannukakku, though I’ve never had anything here that was less than terrific. Hands down my favorite breakfast restaurant anywhere.”
“Eva’s is a great place to stop by and have a few drinks. The pizza is AMAZING! The service was fast and friendly. The outdoor seating area is so nice! High recommend and will definitely be back again!”
“Over the past 4 years I've come here the coffee is really good. The staff is very welcoming and they make it a nice place to read a book or have a cup with friends.”
“Best mocha ever. Clean and chocolatey. Also had a very delicious breakfast pasty (served as my lunch and dinner)! As a bonus the kind barista recommended a nice hike in the area after I mentioned it as my next order of business.”
“Always a good time down at the KBC. Alongside all of the canned varieties being available on tap there is usually a handful of lesser known favorites. Seltzer’s are a thing now too, there was even a frozen seltzer. That was a good as expected.Random board games available with 2 separate bars to order at. Small Patio in the back for outdoor enjoyment.”
“We loved this little Cafe in Calumet. The sandwiches were very tasty. We also had a yogurt parfaiy...delicious and filling! The patrons were very friendly as the staff were. We highlynrecommend this little stop on your travels.”
“great pizza! Even had gluten-free option for my wife. Toppings were very generous and it excellent!Very friendly staff; just a shame to see a single table for their "dine-in" option - so we just took it back home to our VRBO.We'll certainly be back for more pizza next time we're in town!”
“Anything I’ve ever gotten from here has been amazing!! The service is exceptional always.. I drive an hour at least once a week to get my fix!!! Keep up the good work!!”
“Quite the vibe. You can eat anything you want, as long as it's popcorn or the phenomenal pickled eggs. Cash.Parking: Park across the street at the park and ride.”
“A hidden gem! Fries hand cut while we watched at the bar and fried to deliciousness! Great homemade ranch to dip or good ole fashioned ketchup. Tommy was a great bar tender, handling cooking the food and keeping the bar. As promised, one of the BEST Rueben’s I’ve ever had! We will definitely be back!”
“Best pasty in the area. I waited a bit for my food and the waitress came be and said “I thought I’d wait for the fresh ones to come out of the oven for you”. Wow, what thoughtful service. And the coleslaw on the side just completed a wonderful meal. Always a spot to check out when in the Keweenaw.”
“I just recommend them!!! Tacos are excellent, authentic to them only and they are just a must try! u won't be disappointed, plus they are local guys and that I like to support!!!!”
“I have a complaint. *sigh* …. It’s too awesome!!!!!? They were awesome and super kind. I loved it. What a super duper awesome place. Oh! And the food is fantastic too!Kid-friendliness: There are board games like Operation, Connect Four, Battleship, etc for kids and adults alike to play while waiting or eating. We played cards with a 7 and 11 year old and both ate well and were upset when we had to leave!”
“Cannot say enough about Shutes! First off, Pat is incredible and made our experience even more special and his special Bloody Mary is spectacular (summer season treat so get it while it lasts!). Bar was built in 1890, everything is original except the current mural and furniture/appliances. You must stop in and stay a bit!”
“Cute cafe with good espresso drinks.Attached to a "sad beige" Christian boutique with some really cute housewares. The baristas looked like they hated working there though and weren't very welcoming.Went three days in a row, so can confirm that they weren't just having a bad day.”
“Coffee is absolutely wonderful.Service was exceptional.Atmosphere was so-so.Bathroom is clean.I will definitely be back.Brought some grind home and I'll certainly be getting more. (Organic Peru)”
“Best pasties anywhere! I've been visiting the Keeweenaw every summer for 60 years and sampled lots of pasties. When Connie's opened 35 or 40 years ago, these became our favorite. Jen is doing a great job keeping up the tradition. (And now taking credit cards is a big plus.)”
“At first the hostess (with the nose rings) was not very friendly but our sweet waitress made up for it. Her name was Catherine . She was very friendly and took good care of us. We ordered everything in the photos. I had a salad which was yummy. We did not have to wait long for our table or food. Nice place to visit with good prices too. Anyway, thank you Catherine for the good service and thank you Ambassador for the good food-we will be back.”
“This is the cutest pasty shop you'll ever find. Hands down the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. The pasty they slice, not dice, iykyk. You'll never regret stopping here.”
