We were passing through town and my husband wanted a fresh pasty. We stopped at Jen’s Kitchen and his pasty was warm, had a light, flaky crust and was packed with flavor. I got a chocolate chip cookie and it was also delicious. Also, prices were very affordable. There were many other tasty looking treats but that will have to wait for a future visit.
The breakfast pasty is the best pasty I’ve ever had. We got here at about 9:45 Monday morning and got the last one. Savored every bite! They said the breakfast pasties go pretty quick on Mondays, so plan for a stop!

My first pasty! Savory. Filled to the brim. A complete meal. Delightfully warm even after I got it home even after a 2 hour detour (an ode to its original purpose). A flaky but strong crust then held together and never failed me. I was very happy.
