Living in Milwaukee, pasty options are rare and usually underwhelming. Having been born and raised in Keweenaw County, I know my way around a good pasty. But not being back as frequently as I used to be, things change. Only got the beef pasties. Both the filling and the dough needed salt. The pastry was nicely formed with a good traditional crimp, but the filling didn't have enough structural integrity to not fall out at the first bite. Pasties are supposed to be hand pies. I should be able up hold it and eat it without making a mess or needing a fork.

This is a great place to get some quality food made from scratch. Pasties, soups, and sandwiches were really really good. Service was friendly and quick. There are only a few tables so be prepared to find a nice place to take your food to eat it. The owner recommended a great spot just a minute or two from the restaurant.
