Best French Onion I've ever had. Pleasantly surprised by this lovely little hole in the wall :)

Service was very slow. My burger was nothing special, was actually very bland, they don't offer pickles for on the burger, the bun was dry and the meat was to salty. My boyfriend ordered a med done burger and it came out very much on the raw side which upset his stomach. Fries where bland. Only good item was our bruschetta, that was amazing.

While on a color and waterfall tour in the Calumet area we stopped for lunch. The food was great! Had a burger and it was one of the best I’ve had. Would recommend if you’re in the area

Servers were carrying on in front of the patrons which I thought was highly unprofessional. Inside the building was quite interesting and historical. The fish and chips were delicious.

Food and drinks: I had no idea this was a hotel. We thought it was a restaurant only. It was a hot evening and there was no air conditioning. A large fan was blowing on us as we were trying to eat at the bar.

Service wasn't very friendly. Burgers were well done and dry when we asked for medium. Nice decor.

August 2024 - stopped here to eat and the food was good. The kids liked the food. Very interesting on the inside with all the decorations. I ordered the pulled pork wrap and it was good. Worth stopping by if you are in the area.

This has been one of my favorite places to stop for lunch or dinner, but my last visit was very disappointing. The appetizers, soups, and desserts are always good, and I have loved that they offer a vegetarian version of their burgers. The Gipp Burger was my favorite. On my last visit, the burger was so overcooked it was inedible. There were literally burned spots on the burger, and you could snap it in half it was so dry. Veggie burgers do not cook like a meat burger. Cooks need to understand this. There was hardly any sauce on it, and there were maybe four or five small bits of the fried onion tangles on top. No lettuce or anything else at all on the burger. So, essentially, a blackened patty on a bun. Not the zesty, spicy, saucy handful that I remember. I would have sent it back, but the server did not return to check on the meal. So disappointed.
