The Hut Inn reminds me of the 80s in a great way. You almost expected to be greeted with do you prefer smoking, nonsmoking, or first available. The food was very good and the staff was friendly. I had the liver and onions with coleslaw as a starter. The coleslaw was creamy with a touch of pepper and I loved it. The liver and onions were tender and well cooked. It had a generous portion of Michigan wild rice and the liver was topped with slices of bacon and perfectly cooked onions on top. My wife had lasagna with broccoli and cheese soup. The soup was the best I have had in a very long time. The lasagna was tender and the cheese was some brown baked in and was great. We will make The Hut Inn a regular stop while we are in the UP. Thank you for a great experience.

Five stars for the service! I had Kamilah as my server and she was fantastic! Super friendly and attentive. She was the best part of my experience. I tried the Cornish pastry after recommendation from a local and it was meh. Not flavorful.

This place was recommended to us by our hotel (trailside lodge) and it did not disappoint. The mozzerella sticks were so crunchy and gooey - the best I think I have ever had. My husband ordered a salad and to say it was huge was an understatement. He could not even finish it all. I ordered a patty melt and it was cooked to perfection and delicious. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this place. Definitely stop in here - you will go away full and happy.

Service was fantastic, food was good. Amount of fruit flies landing on our food and flying around our faces is unacceptable. Do better owners it doesn’t cost much to eradicate this type of problem. It’s disgusting, won’t be back anytime soon, and will tell my friends not to waste their money.
My fish and chips was okay. Definitely frozen breaded fish. Another person in my party said their burger was good. My son got a country fried steak, and the gravy was sweet? Not good. The hostess wouldn't show us to ur seats just said you're in the back. We had to figure out where we were seated. She told us there's no kids menu. So we were frustrated trying to find something my grandkids would eat. Then our waitress mentioned there is a kids menu?? She went and got us one. It's really dark and dungeon like in there. Tables were sitting with dirty musty towels near us. The kitchen door looked as if it had never been wiped down.

Ignore the haters dissing the style and ambiance and enjoy the architecture; steping back to a different time when supper clubs were filled with the beautiful and gracious of the area and it was the place to see and be seen. The food is wonderful. We had nachos- they could have used more cheese but that could be the Wisconsin in me ;) and the Dannwich with sweet potato fries. Both were huge portions at a great price. Mary, our server, was so nice and very good at her job. Hit this place up.
