Ichiban Hibachi Steakhouse & Sushi Bar

I & my family celebrated my daughters 50th birthday here. There were close to 25 friends & family. We love Ichiban in Ann Arbor. Great service,we can select what food we like and beverages of our choice. We love having the food prepared fresh in our presence. I go there for the ambiance as well.

We had a party of 12 people for my daughter's birthday party. Once we were seated, it took about 15-20 minutes before we were acknowledged by our server. She took our drink order at that time. Fast forward another 15 minutes - another group showed up at the same table. The same waitress acknowledged them immediately and took their drink order. She brought our drinks out with the new group. She served them first. My wife and I left after 45 minutes. The waitress still hadn't taken our group's orders. I will never step foot in there again.

This is an ok place to go. The main courses were very good, but the soup & salad were mediocre. The facilities could use an upgrade, they're a bit run down. Also, be careful using an Ichiban gift card there. They may not honor it.

Everything was horrible and overly sweet. The chicken was dry and bland. The rice was oily and bland and the vegetables very sweet and bland 🤮 I’m not impressed and wish I could get my money back!

5 of us went there tonight. Each time we go portions seem to get smaller for same or more in price. Restrooms definitely need repairs, some stall doors don't close and locks are missing. Service though was amazing and we didn't want to complain to the wait staff who were trying their best.

Nice place to visit and see them prepare your food right in front of you. What I order was okay, I think the oil he used didn't agree with my tummy..Bu I would recommend this place to anyone.

I see a lot of bad reviews for minor inconveniences. Yes they add gratuity on the bill, portions were as I had them over 6 years ago when I last came here. Prices were up, but reflects inflation and portions were the same. Thanks for the good food.

I was a faithful customer of this restaurant for years loved the food back then..moved away and recently came back to visit noticed the unexpected tip you’re told nothing about until the bill comes and you just see it on there . Place is now very dim and dull ..very out dated no extras at all. Service was definitely not worth a tip 20% tip ..Drinks weren’t good just warm and flat .. food was a smaller portion than it used to be .. chef was not very entertaining just everything about my last experience was dull & not worth my money . won’t be returning ..

Good food and entertainment. The wait staff does a good job keeping your glass filled. Management was not good on a busy mother's day. They seemed disorganized and tried hard to push us out.
