Was in town with an old friend for the holiday weekend to visit his family, etc. Stopped in here to dine-in for lunch. These old school Pizza Hut Restaurants do not exist in the Detroit area anymore - they all shut down. It was my favorite place to eat as a kid in the 1980s! They even had the salad bar, original stained glass swag lamps, checkered table cloths, the retro shaped windows and atmosphere. The pan pizza came to the table in that classic iron dish with a serving spatchula....
This is a pizza hut classic. Atmosphere is straight out of the 80s. Red cups, checkered table cloth, salad bar, and the Pizza Hut lamp shades. The Chicago deep dish is incredible. It takes 45 min. But its worth it and tvs in the corners of the dinning area, that show funny videos, pass the time wonderfully. Servers are a little hard to flag down.
We called in our order. We live 30 minutes away and the guy said it be ready when we get there. We get there and supposedly it was packed and they forgot My order. We sat for an additional 15 minutes but it was hot.
