Staff was very friendly & attentive. Food, seemed as it was frozen food from DG and heated. Salad bar, rood seemed wilted, limo, discolored.
Need to do better. If they made homeade food this place would be much better.

On November 13 we stopped at the rusty nail outside Carson city mi. for a quick fix meal to go. Time was 1:45 pm not too busy. We were on the road and in a hurry. Ordered two tacos, one soft shell, one hard shell. Got 1/3 of a can of refried beans. All in individual styrofoam containers. Cup of cold coffee and a cup of weak lemon aid. Cost $25.74 plus left a $5.00 tip. Don’t want anything. Just won’t stop there again. Just saying

I’m really disappointed in our experience here. We ordered a Reuben, a Philly steak sandwich, and jalapeño poppers to start. The poppers were the first sign something was off — they had a strange taste and we couldn’t even finish one. We still tried to give lunch a chance, but both sandwiches were just as bad.
We let the waitress know right away, and she could clearly see that we had barely taken a bite. Unfortunately, we were still charged full price for food we could not eat. The bill was nearly $60, and we ended up leaving and getting Taco Bell across the street instead.
I really hope the restaurant improves the quality of their food and customer service, because this was a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend eating here at this time.

Wife and I stopped in we each had a patty melt and an order of onion rings to split. Onion rings were a disappointment as they were more like Onion SKINS. They were the green, tough outer layers of the onion.
Plenty of seats. Have two distinct areas, on is booths and smaller tables, the othe is longer tables for larger groups.

Have heard about the Rusty Nail before, but never in the area. We were camping nearby and couldn't find anything open on a Monday. Did a Google search . . . And Rusty Nail showed up. Not busy. Had great fresh made onion rings to share and soup/salad bar. Ham/corn chowder was excellent! Definitely go back.

We stopped in for lunch on our way through town on a motorcycle ride. I had the nacho supreme, and my wife had the shrimp basket with onion rings. The food was a disappointment. Shrimp was very small and mostly batter. Coleslaw was uneatable. Onion rings tasted like burnt oil.

The lunch buffet was disgusting, it was surprising how they managed to so badly mess up what was clearly premade food. Other food from the kitchen looked better, but not by much.
