This was my husband and my first time here. I asked about the biscuits and gravy, if it was sausage gravy. The sweet waitress said yes. I asked if it was ground sausage or links &/or patties cut up. She said they were cut up. I ordered a ham, cheese and mushroom omelet.
I prefer ground sausage because it has a great flavor and texture for sausage gravy.
Links and patties have their place, just not in sausage gravy...lol. IMHO.
I should have asked about the mushrooms in the omelet. I usually do but this morning I didn't ask. I should have. They were canned mushrooms, not fresh.
I was in the Army food service and I don't think we ever used canned mushrooms. Most of the food we prepared was fresh.
I don't understand why restaurants don't like using fresh vegetables. I understand that fresh have a tendency to be a little more expensive and tend to go bad quicker but you can regulate the inventory and not have waste. Plus, you could attract more customers with fresher food.
Overall, we thought the experience was amazing. The staff were very kind and funny. We sat next to a couple of sweet ladies talking about life events, current events and the snow.
We will be back but I will be careful and ask what is fresh. Thank you for a good morning. ❤️☺️

Best place to eat breakfast in Olive Cass County and maybe all of Michigan the owner that lady is amazing man. She works so hard. She truly just made my day yesterday and if you’re reading this, I want to tell you thank you I understand your hustle and I understand your heart. I’ll be back. Thanks for making my boys belly full. They worked harder and they made me a little more money thank you.

From the moment you walk in, it’s clear this place is something special. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the attention to detail is outstanding. The chef truly cares about the food, and it shows in every dish. You can taste the passion and dedication in each bite. The staff are equally friendly, attentive, and committed to excellence.

The French toast deserves its own spotlight. It’s crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness.

Every plate is crafted with care, and you leave feeling like you’ve just discovered your new favorite spot. Broadway Café is more than just a meal. It’s an experience worth driving out of your way for.
