I honestly feel blessed that I got to try food from here. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was something out of the cutest storybook. Those Pierogi were fantastic, and I’ll dream about them until I get to eat them again. No photos were taken, as we were savoring every bite and summer feel during this experience. Thanks again ❤️🥟😊

We eat Polish food. Often. We cook Polish food. Often. We have been to Polish restaurants across the country. My 83 year old Mother said Polish Countryside Kitchen was THE BEST Polish food she has had since her family dinners in Chicago as a child. (Said the Polish sausage was The Best EVER!) She’s a hard critic to please, nice job! We will make the drive up again.

We loved chatting with Tom, the owner/farmer. We also ordered the Polish Platter that arrived with rye bread. Pierogis were cooked beautifully in olive oil. Kielbasa and sauerkraut were the best dishes we’ve ever had!! We will be back!

Best Polish food around. Kids loved the city chicken.

Lovely little spot. Sweet cheese pierogis, kielbasa, and the chicken sandwich were all fantastic.

We stopped by Polish Country Kitchen in Cedar on a whim, and were completely blown away. From the moment we walked up, it was clear how much care and pride goes into everything here—from the warm service to all the delicious sides to go with your dishes.

Tom, the host, is an absolute delight—welcoming, kind, and clearly passionate about the food and the experience. He took time to share a bit about their commitment to ethically farmed meats, which made us appreciate it all even more.

We ordered the pork cutlet with purple cabbage and pickled sides, and the Polish platter. Both were incredible—comforting, flavorful, and honestly better than Babcia’s (sorry, Babcia!). The cutlet was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the sides were vibrant and balanced. The Polish platter gave us a bit of everything, and each bite was clearly made with care.

This place is a true hidden treasure. We’re already planning to come back—and bring friends. Highly, highly recommended!

My wife surprised me by stopping in on Father's Day. We shared a Polish platter which is 1 City Chicken, 3 pierogi's your choice, and 1 chunk fresh kielbasa comes with mashed potatoes w/gravy, 2 slices of bread and sauerkraut. We also added 3 sweet cheese pierogi's for our dessert. Everything had such great flavors and this platter was more than enough for 2.

4th time staying in Empire and we were wanting to venture to somewhere we havent been. This place was delicious: the City Chicken, the Borscht and the Pierogis were all top notch. Extremely tasty and worth it. Such good flavors from the City Chicken (pork), the Borscht was tangy and excellent and those jalapeno Pierogis. Yum.

Amazing to find this while visiting Traverse City area. Check for hours. Menu changes but we loved the pierogis. I especially liked the jalapeño flavored ones.
