Waitress wasn't friendly, she was pushy, rude and made my mom and I feel so unwelcomed, mind you we were the only guests there. She didn't even let us finish our water or leave the table before taking the tip (which she did NOT even deserve) and our waters from us. We stopped for just a slice of pie, was so dry and definitely old. Would NOT recommend to anyone!

Misty was our server for dinner when we visited and she was super friendly and provided great service. The facility is very clean and well decorated, it gave a unique feel and cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious. I got the truffle ravioli and it was delicious. We finished the meal with the flourless chocolate cake and it was plenty big enough to share.

High end prices with low end expectations.
Have probably been here 40-50 times. On a night without live music it’s a 4/5 star. Prices are fairly high but the area is remote so that’s to be expected. Elk rapids and charlevoix both offer better options in terms of quality/value. I don’t mind overpriced local establishments when living in a rural area, but when live music happens it takes away from the dining experience rather than adding to it as it should. Ivan is very talented, and Leanna is ok to listen to as well. The main problem Is the volume they output within a small space. If you want an intimate evening; forget it! If you want to talk to family members; forget it! This restaurant is way too small to accommodate the loud voice that the live performers desire and it pierces through your ears for days.
I’ve requested for years that they turn down the volume but it’s clear that Leanna wants to own the show rather than keep customers comfortable. I just went in again to spend a small fortune but I think this may be our last time. Large parties set aside into the “break off” room still had to hear over-volumed music and she didn’t respond well to our request. If you want to see the Leanna show with ear protection, this is your place. If you want to pay a large sum of money for a local place, then make sure you’re going on a night without live music.

We stopped in for lunch today when coming in the door we were waved to come in by someone in the restaurant no one greeted us at the door? There were only 2 other tables seated so we didn’t think our food should have taken as long as it did. While sitting waiting there were so many flies I was trying to swatch away. Once our food did arrived we couldn’t even eat because we were dive bombed by flies and gnats I immediately asked for a carry out container because we needed to get out of there couldn’t even enjoy our meal had to take it home to eat. For as much as we paid for lunch pretty bad experience. The food was ok but not all that great for $60 very disappointed first visit and last

Easily accessible from M-31, we went on a Friday evening. In addition to great food and service, they have live music every Friday and Saturday evening. The night we were there, we had a prime rib surf & turf and herb crusted white fish. The food was deliciously prepared with great attention to the sides as well as the entree. The duo performing was also very food, providing a welcoming atmosphere!

The hostess and food runners were not very cordial, which was a bummer because our waiter was FANTASTIC. He entirely made up for the lack of service from the other two staff members we interacted with. The food was fantastic. The only thing I would suggest would be serving the cole slaw on a separate cold plate (away from the hot items) because the fries got somewhat cold from the cole slaw and the cole slaw became slightly lukewarm by being served on a hot plate. The rest of the experience was great and we would definitely come back.

My husband got the lox. He liked it and would recommend it.
I got the sweet potato hash. It was more of a deconstructed dish than I expected but still good. My over medium eggs were cooked perfectly. The hash could have used more pork belly IMO. The strawberry jam is BOMB!
Stop at the lunch box on your way out for a coffee to go and other goodies.
Just one minute down the road is a public access to torch lake. It’s beautiful.
It was so loud it was hard to have a normal conversation .

I had THE BEST French dip sandwich! Incredible! The bread was soft and had the perfect ratio of meat to cheese to bread. I also added mushrooms and onions and it was a good compliment to the sandwich. The sweet potato fries were a good size too and cooked to perfection, HIGHLY recommend this combo.

Love sitting in the outdoor porch in the summertime! Service was also good! But food was not that great. The Cobb salad was good, but the chicken parm was just okay and a little burnt, while the steak was a bad cut and very fatty. Not worth the price.
