We sat at the bar and the bartender ignored us for a long time. He seemed upset that we wanted to order food at the bar to eat in. He told me we could not order burgers at 7 pm. We saw several burgers going to other people. Even 40 minutes after we asked him. I questioned him on this and he said sorry you cannot have a burger. I pulled out my phone and ordered a burger to go. It said on the menu hand held until 10pm. We felt like we were an imposition to the bartender. It was a bad experience. My friend ended up ordering the fish fry that we saw a server bringing out to another table. The bartender never told us about this… he never came to cash us out. You need to hire friendlier bartenders!

Enjoyed my stop, not necessarily for the food, but for the friendly service. Multiple customers nearby were complaining and being a pain and the waiter continued to be friendly and polite to them and us. Keep it up!

I’ve only ever been here for dinner on the weekends, but every time is a great experience. The food selection is really good and the quality is great. The service isn’t the fastest in the world, but that’s to be expected when you visit northern Michigan. However, the waitstaff are very friendly and they always make sure everything comes out good. To top it off, the live music on Friday and Saturday is phenomenal! Ivan & Leanna are so fun to watch. They are great musicians, and they truly make it a great experience whenever I visit. Don’t miss out on this place!

I've driven by this place so many times and always wanted to stop! We finally did, and the food was amazing!! The service and staff very friendly and great! The atmosphere was horrible! Left with a headache... there is no reason that live music needs to be THAT loud! Couldn't even handle communicate with the waitress or the other people in my party, very disappointed by that, too bad cause otherwise it would have been awesome!!

The food was fresh and delicious... worth the wait. Bakery items were yummy! Good staff. Interesting building!
When I ordered, I asked twice if they had rye bread for toast. The waiter assured me they did. When our meals came out, an HOUR later, we let the woman who delivered it that I was supposed to have rye toast. She told me she would get it. My eggs sat and got cold while I waited. She didn't come back. When the waiter came back I asked for it and he said they didn't have any - only white. I wouldn't have ordered that meal if they only had white. This isn't the first time I've had problems with my orders here. I guess if you have a special diet, they can't serve you. In two words this place is: expensive disappointment.

We came here in July and absolutely loved the food, service and atmosphere. Today it was a completely different experience. The overall experience was beyond disappointing. The staff acted like we were an imposition. We were sat and basically had the menu thrown at us by the man from the bar. The server came over shortly after, she we nice enough. The food arrived fairly quickly but the quality to cost was very disappointing. $15 for a bagel with a thin slice of salmon, 5 slices of cucumber, 8 capers, some cream cheese and a few red onions. $15!!! It was the driest most dense bagel I’ve ever had. Like maybe if it came with a side or something but this was laughable. The server disappeared after dropping off the food so we didn’t get a coffee refill or anything. So disappointed and I think this was definitely our last visit.

BEWARE!!! SHYSTER business tactics. Despite having great truffle fries and decent selection of beer, we had our sub total $5 above what it added up to. With a CC fee already added to the total as well. I wouldn't have noticed but my girlfriend did. When asked why they said the cc fee would come off when they put it in to say it was cash.... I asked about the wrong math, was told they don't know it's the computer and a shoulder shrug that they weren't responsible. After the fella went looking for the manager for 10 min someone came out and tried too do the math the way the computer automatically did it but couldn't. It was still 5 dollars less than what it said. A couple shrugged shoulders later and I was told tat it wasn't a big deal. I said nope hope it doesn't happen regularly and it would get passed on to the higher ups. I hope so. Look out and check your tab twice, don't doubt your math! I'm not saying it was any of the workers fault..... they aren't even from the United States! But whomever owns the place and does the billing in their computer needs to be investigated in my opinion. Very SHADY TACTICS! Shame on the owner

Came in for lunch on a Monday. It wasn't super busy so we got a table right away.
Our server was friendly and prompt.
The atmosphere here is great as well!
The food though is off the charts. The burger was so delicious and packed with flavor.
The fries were a bit old, but the burger more than made up for it.
