The atmosphere is what drew us in. A comfortable patio, live music, good view of the waterside, and modern decor. The food is priced like a fine dining establishment, but was far below average. Processed, unseasoned, and overcooked. We hope a new chef is hired soon.
The Cajun chicken pasta was delicious and it’s a ton of food expect to take some home unless you share. My partner got the perch basket and it was light and delicious as well. Neal’s overall tasty price slightly overpriced for the quality of food.
We didn’t need reservations because there was a winter storm and barely anyone out. Otherwise I’m not sure how busy it gets.
On our trip in Charlevoix, Michigan this past weekend, my husband, Kirk and I came across Marek’s Harbor Grill. The servers were nice and friendly. We sat at the bar and found out through conversations that the bar was refurbished from an old boat. We decided to order something light for lunch since we had dinner reservations later that evening at another establishment. We ordered the lobster chowder.
