Absolutely amazing! We hardly go out to eat because my husband has food allergies and an extensive list at that. We called ahead and they said they would be able to accommodate. Not only did they accommodate, but the food and service were amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone food allergies or not!Dietary restrictions: Great at accommodating

I think you're mostly paying for the locale here. My food was good, but not on the level I would expect at the price point. The view WAS nice though, I can't argue that!

If you have allergies DONT COME HERE, it's not worth the stomach ache. I was very specific with them about my allergies and my food appeared to have butter on it. I questioned them what the yellow substance was coming from my broccolini and they swore it wasn't butter. I have now been suffering the last 5 hours with a horrible stomach ache to point of waking me up. There is a difference between fads and allergies and this should be taken more seriously. The manager couldn't even bother coming to talk to me and while I was sitting there beginning to suffer they were all chatting laughing in the front. I will never go back and I suggest if you have allergies to save yourself and not go.Dietary restrictions: They list them but are not cautious at all. I do not recommend If you have dietary restrictions.

Absolutely beautiful spot from head to toe. A little rustic modern, nautical theme. The views everywhere are spectacular. Extremely large upstairs and downstairs dining rooms and a nice patio overlooking the watervane. The food came out extremely hot and perfectly cooked. For how fancy this place was you don't need to break the bank to dine here. Would highly recommend to anyone traveling newr Charlavoix.

Not worth the cost anymore. Used to love coming here even in the winter. Service people were not friendly...no salad... no bread! New owners have ruined it!

I initially wanted the ribeye steak but being told that there was no Pinot Noir to accompany it was undecided what to order. My server, Larry, made the suggestion to add a skewer of tenderloin to a Caesar Salad and was he right! I got my red meat “fix” and still had room to get the French Onion soup. Bonus! The food and the view were voth wonderful. Thanks Larry and thanks Weathervane.

Everything tasted wonderful! The waiter was superb! Love the history/architecture of the restaurant. Comfortable atmosphere with the big fireplace which they started on a nice cold cloudy day. I will go back there again!

Visited off-season, had a reservation but could have walked in. Very attentive server, food was very good (seafood chowder, walleye dinner, goat cheese salad). The view was nice looking out at the bridge and the channel. The only knock is we could hear pretty much everything going on in the kitchen.

I wanted to share an update regarding my earlier message. I had the pleasure of being contacted by Paul Andrzejewski, the General Manager. Paul was incredibly apologetic and empathetic. In a time when exceptional customer service is a rarity, I truly valued his attentiveness and willingness to resolve the issue generously. If I find myself back in the Charlevoix area, I would definitely consider giving Stafford's Weathervane another try. Thank you Paul!I’ll start by saying I sent this review as an email but never heard back from anyone. So I decided to write it as a google review. My husband and I were really looking forward to a pleasant dining experience in Charlevoix at the Stafford Weathervane, but unfortunately , our evening turned out to be a series of disappointments. We chose to go to dinner on October 4 and expected that a place like this would be busy. So, I decided to be proactive and called at 4:00 when they opened to make reservations. However, all I got was a voicemail, which informed me of their operating hours from 4:00 to 8:30 on Wednesdays and asked me to call back during business hours to make a reservation. I followed the instructions and called back three times, only to be met with the same unhelpful voicemail every time. No one answered.Determined to make the most of our evening, we decided to stop by in person to secure a reservation for 6:30. We succeeded in that regard, but to our disappointment, we were informed that the patio, which we had set our hearts on, was only open on weekends. We settled for a window seat and returned later as agreed. Finally seated in the back room with about four other tables, we were attended to by a waiter named Philip. He was pleasant, albeit seeming a bit green. We promptly ordered drinks and an appetizer – spinach dip. Our drinks arrived quickly, but we had to wait quite some time for the appetizer. When it was finally brought to our table, Philip apologized for the absence of silverware and napkins and promptly brought them over. What was baffling was that every table seated in our vicinity after us received the same apology for the same oversight! With the appetizer finally in front of us, we placed our meal orders – both opting for the French Dip. Our patience was further tested as it took an eternity for our meals to arrive. Once again, apologies were offered for the delay. Regrettably, when the sandwiches did arrive, they were disappointingly dry, even with the au jus, and lacked flavor. Frankly, for the price we paid, we expected a much better dining experience.Typically, we would indulge in dessert, but given the considerable amount of time we spent here (2.5 hours), most of which was waiting, we decided to forgo it and headed down the street to Kilwins for some ice cream. The bill, totaling just over $100 for two sandwiches, four drinks (we needed seconds during our long wait), and an appetizer, was a bitter pill to swallow. This experience fell far short of what we anticipated. It's safe to say we won't be making a return visit.
