We went on a Sunday evening, there was 5 of us. We didn’t know reservations were recommended, despite there being a lot of open tables, they told us that they could not see us in the dining room. Thankfully, they squished us together at a table in the bar, which was not necessarily great for eating dinner, but regardless, our service was still good. Atmosphere, staff, and salmon dinner we're spectacular. Had to check out the main fireplace with 9 ton mantel boulder and huge hearthstone meteorite designed by Earl Young, architech of the mushroom houses. Regrettably, we were not able to check out the basement as they had an exclusive party there, so will need to plan another trip to Charlevoix. The story of how the mantel rock was discovered by Young over 2 decades earlier, saved for the perfect situation, and inserted...
Great location, food ok, expected better for a price. There is a nice patio there, a favorite place of visitors, but they do not have a heater, as in the restaurant across the river.
