Los Tres Amigos Chelsea Reviews
Had lunch there. Surly hostess was also server. She
literally did not say hello to us when we walked in. "Just two?"
She forgot a drink order and took forever to take our food order.
The food came out quickly, but cold, and not to order, so I'd say
it was prepared ahead of time and poorly reheated. Server did
not apologize for the incorrect order. We left a 15% tip and will not
be back.
$7.30 to get onions and hot sauce for my tacos… so half the price of the tacos, and the onions were going bad. Staff member was very rude when we asked for the adds - repeatedly said we have to pay for that, it’s extra. In hindsight, we should have went to Taco Bell which was just a few buildings away from our hotel. We definitely know for next time though and won’t be returning when we are back in the area. Almost $70 for subpar food is way too much and the demand for tips...read full review

Los Tres Amigos Chelsea offers a mix of experiences. While some customers praise the great food, fantastic service, and nice selection of vegetarian and vegan options, others have found the pork in the Carnitas dinner to be unsatisfactory, the rice tasteless, and the corn tortillas stuck together. The atmosphere is described as great, but the management and upkeep of the restaurant seem to have declined over time, leading to slow service and a less maintained interior.
For those who enjoy typical Midwestern Mexican dishes, this place generally delivers. However, service can be a little spotty at times, with some customers noting longer ticket times and occasional understaffing. Despite this, the cozy environment makes it a good spot for spending time with friends, especially if socializing is the main goal rather than a focus on perfect food. The restaurant remains a clean and pleasant place, with fast service during lunch hours, and some dishes like the Tacos al Pastor are highly appreciated. Overall, it is a suitable place to visit when in the area, particularly for those looking for a relaxed, social setting.
