We loved The Nest! The Seafood Chowder was excellent, as was the beer cheese dip. The Cajun Chicken Pasta was more Mediterranean Chicken Pasta (it has dried tomatoes and spinach, and not particularly spicy) but it was still delicious! We also had the Fish n Chips dinner - generous portions.We had a few double drinks and dessert (great carrot cake!) and with a $30 tip it was $185 for two - appetizers, drinks, entrees, and desserts) but excellent food and service.!
The food is/was great. Service good but not as attentive as we would hope. Not terrible however. The ambiance is interesting. There are concrete floors and little to help with acoustics. It's very load when full of people. It's a modern structure, very nicely done but it's seems the restaurant was an afterthought as the chairs and tables are old country style. I had the Cajun chicken pasta and it was delicious. Great flavor and heat balance, excellent sauce. The cocktails were quite good as well. The service was excellent. Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. To complete the meal, the chocolate tort was decadent. For me, the only downside of the experience was the ambience.
