We stopped in on December 20th for breakfast on our way to the Rooftop Reindeer Farm in Clare. This little historic place has been on my radar to try for a few years. It did not disappoint. Service from Jackie was friendly and attentive, kept our coffee cups full, she shared a little about the place and we loved hearing the stories and how long her and Julie the cook have worked there. Our kind of place! The food was delicious, and plentiful! Julie even came and said hi to us and asked if everything was good as busy as she was! I did not get the young ladies name that was helping out that day, but she was fun and we enjoyed her as well! We will back , we need to try the Hamburgers and soups! And so much more!

just want to give a huge shout out to Paul and devil hog roasters for the awesome pulled pork. it was a great hit at our party. If you haven't tried it, you are missing out!

I came here because it had made multiple lists as one of the best Burgers in Michigan. This place is truly the definition of hole-in-the-wall, meant in the best possible way. Inside is a whopping 6 tables. On the left side is the grill and prep area. So dinner and a show. I ordered a 1/2# Bacon Cheeseburger. Not sure of the breakdown but the total was $18 with a soda and onion rings. It was 2 patties that tasted like high quality meat seasoned right with a couple of large strips of bacon. The burger was juicy and super tasty. The bacon was excellent. Together they made a fantastic burger. The onion rings were good, but the breading to onion mixture was a little heavy. The crunch was good though. The service was fantastic. Everyone was super friendly and very efficient. The cook is excellent and a nice lady. I enjoyed watching her cook the food. Overall an easy 5 star review. Would I return? At 2 hours away from me the answer is still absolutely!

My wife and I were traveling and wanted to get some breakfast before we headed for home. We checked out the Whitehouse and it did not disappoint. From the small hometown diner feel, welcoming, polite staff and the great tasting, well prepared and made food, definitely hit the spot. It was the best dining experience I've had in a very long time. Thank you all for making us visitors feel really right at home!

Support your local small businesses. This place is worth it, I drove about 1 hour one way to try it out for the first time and I was not disappointed. I will be going back. Amazing food and service at a great price. You can watch your food being cooked, it’s all right out in the open next to the seating area. Very welcoming and friendly environment. Didn’t have to wait very long for our food. It’s very easy to miss if you’re just passing through, very small old building with very little signage.
