The carpet is dirty when you walk in and needs to be removed. The whole place needs a major update. The atmosphere is better outside. Our reservation was at 5:30 pm and our food arrived 2 hours later. They were short staffed and couldn't handle a party of our size. The kid's pizza looked like cheese and meat in top of grilled flat bread. The kids complained that it was crunchy. The ribs were delicious with a really nice mildly spicy sauce. The macaroni tastes better than it looked. The sweet potatoes weren't really that sweet and had no marshmallows as described.

I am going to start this review by saying that if you want to try this place, make sure you are NOT in a hurry. They announced while we were there that the owner was the only chef. Not sure if that's every night or just that particular night. In a place with seating room for around 50 (between inside and outside), that could mean you are waiting a long time for your food. We went at around 5pm and beat some of the rush, but were still there for a total of 1.5 hours. The staff is very friendly, but not extremely attentive. Our water glasses sat empty a couple of times until we finally specifically asked for them to be refilled. The furniture is unfortunately not very comfortable for the long waits either. Outside of all that, our food was good.

June 15, 2025 Fathers Day 5:15pm reservation for 3. Have to start by saying I feel sorry for the hostesses who must have got pulled into being a server. Big party took up all the attention and put everything behind but with that being said she did the best she could but it didn’t help when it took 1:35 to get our order of a Rib dinner (1 giant rib bone), baked beans and forgot my potato salad until she brought out the bill, wedge salad and a order of poutine fries. Had to ask for menus, ask for drinks, and again ask after 1:30 where our food was. She kept apologizing and comped us a dessert but after almost 2 hours it was not a good experience. She did her best even on a holiday but they should have turned away people being they didn’t have the staff. Heard great things and the reviews are good but our experience was not a good one. Good food but way overpriced. $38 for 1 giant rib?!!? Hard pass

I rarely ever leave negative reviews, but my family and I were genuinely disappointed with our experience. We placed a carry-out order for Father’s Day based on all the great reviews, but it fell far short of expectations.
We waited over 30 minutes past the scheduled pickup time, and when we finally got the food, they had forgotten our corn. The side portions were extremely small, the ribs were tough, and the brisket was overly fatty. Everything was so heavily smoked it was difficult to enjoy.
To be fair, the staff was very nice — it seemed like they were just overwhelmed and couldn’t keep up with the volume. Still, the overall experience left us so let down that we ended up ordering pizza instead.

Very mom and pop kinda place with some very delicious home style meals. We will be back. The corn is a must.

I never leave reviews but I feel like this place needs it. Hands down, best food I’ve had in many many years. As a big guy, I eat a lot, especially cheeseburgers and fries. The burger was out of this world, quality ingredients, if I had an unlimited budget, couldn’t make a better burger. If you don’t get the street corn your are wasting your time here. We went on a slower day where only the chef/owner was working, he did an amazing job maintaining all customers while still cooking and hosting. I will be back again and again. Me and my friend both ordered a dinner, I took food home, 50$. Very well priced for the quality and love in the food. Hopefully you’ll have the chef table experience me and my friend had, the chefs personality makes the food taste better. You can tell it’s made with love. Please make the time to eat here, you will not be disappointed

The food was absolutely to die for. My boyfriend and I went in for lunch today and it was some of the best BBQ I have ever had. The owner was such a sweetheart and made conversation with us, he also cooked our fantastic meal himself. 100% recommend!!!

The restaurant itself could use some updating...very 80s feel to it, bad carpet, old tables and chairs....but the food though? Delicious. However, unless you want to wait for at least an hour before your food arrives, you'd better order the ready to order items like the beef brisket or beef ribs, which is what me and my husband ordered. And our server was a very pleasant lady (really wish I could remember her name), but there were only two servers, a man and her. She gained more "gold stars" after we told her that we were hoping to make our movie on time and she worked hard to make sure we got our food, ate, and made it out in time to catch our movie...because at first, the wait was not looking promising. But again, I will reiterate that both of us were well pleased with our food and also the poutine appetizer was creative and delicious as well.
Overall, all three members of my parry enjoyed the food very much. Our server was not only pleasant, but also knowledgeable, and attentive during our entire stay. Parking was convenient as there is a lot adjacent to the property in the back. We ate inside for our visit, as the weather was cold However the outside patio looks ideal for a warm weather trip.

I enjoyed my meal today! Rib tips, spicy sauce, Mac n cheese and slaw. Cooking was spot on on, a good amount of smoke. Meat was tender and juicy. Sides were generous and flavorful. The owner/chef and I watched tv and I enjoyed listening to him talk about his buisness, cost increases and his love for bbq!

went for my son birthday none of the food was hot. the best thing about this place was the faygo pop. ribs was okay the sauce was nasty, mac&cheese was nasty no taste, The greens had a vinegar taste. None of the food was hot at all very disappointed
