If you ever have a craving for Long John Silver's-style fish and chicken, this is the place for you. The food is better and the dining room is cleaner than most LJS restaurants. I love the fish and the hushpuppies. This location is usually empty when I stop in, but the food is always good and fresh. And the service is very friendly.

We went through the drive thru, no other cars in line. We saw our food get put on the rack and the cook knocking to get the attention of the guy working the counter. Waited. Cook knocks again. Waited. My wife got out, walked in and got our food from behind the counter. The guys was sitting at a table with headphones playing on his phone.

“Gums from Big Dawg” – Not Quite the Combo Meal I Expected I stopped by Captain D’s hoping for a quick seafood fix, and the service was friendly — until someone offered me “gums from Big Dawg.” I don’t know if that’s a new promo, an inside joke, or just a wild mix-up, but it definitely left me questioning my life choices. Aside from that, the fish and sides were fine, but maybe next time, let’s keep the menu items to something you can deep-fry.

A year ago, this restaurant had dropped in quality—the food wasn't great and the portions were small. I'm so glad they've gone back to their roots! The food is now delicious, the portions are back to being generous (I'm completely full!), and I love it. It's my favorite restaurant, and I highly recommend it.
