“For my 65th birthday and my soon to be dauhter-in, laws 25 birthday we celebrated at J. Baldwins! The food was excellent. Soooo good, I've never had better food. I even ordered 2 other meals and dessert to take home! I recommend this restaurant as a 20 on a 1 - 10 scale it was that yummy! 5 stars!”

“I quickly realized that not all Buscemi‘s locations have the same ingredients for their pizza making. One Buscemi’s will make a totally different kind of pizza from another, and you can clearly tell which one uses better ingredients and this location by far is the best one out of any Buscemi’s I’ve gotten pizza from.

It sucks because I’m moving away next year and the Buscemi‘s near my new home I’m building has horrible pizza. I’m gonna miss this place when I move.

When she finally took our order, one of the drinks was made wrong and when my friend said something the same bartender had a bad attitude! First and last time we go there!”

“I had a carryout order from here yesterday, and they accidentally forgot my gravy. I called as soon as I got home, and they immediately apologized, credited me, and even offered me a discount on my next visit. Since the portions are huge, I hadn't even gotten to the part of my meal that needed the gravy, so I stopped in today just to grab a replacement.
The owner came right out, apologized again, and was genuinely appreciative that I was understanding. She even mentioned how she wished more people showed the same kindness instead of immediately getting angry.
That conversation stuck with me, so I came to read some of the reviews—and honestly, I was surprised. Some of the one-star reviews are for things like cold soup or minor mistakes that could have been resolved with a quick conversation. Every restaurant makes mistakes from time to time. What matters is how they handle them, and this one made it right without hesitation.

“I got three pizzas here a few weeks ago because my son really wanted to try them (I believe he saw them on Tiktok or something) and it was not what I expected because it's in a large party store but it's very good pizza (well cooked, nice crust, lots of toppings) and I was impressed with how nice, friendly, and helpful everyone was. The two men at the counter and the one who made the pizza were great, and the price of the pizza was very reasonable for what you get. Great value and the store is big and bright and looked clean.”

“Cheryl's Diggity Dogs is as American as it gets located in front of Lowe's, the biggest store in a strip mall on a section of Gratiot lined on either side with car dealerships. The hotdogs or polish sausages are great and you can get a pop and bag of chips for not much extra. One of my favorite places for a snack on my way home from work. Cheryl is very friendly, I'm not sure the name of the other employee but she is also nice. My only complaint is that the hours seem slightly irregular”

“Showed up solo. Left with new friends. Came in on a Friday for karaoke. There was a nice fellow “Dj GrizzyGrant” I believe, hosting. He’s his Grandmas Favorite Grandson. He got me on the list and helped me pick a song! Great sound, good song choices. Free pool. Locals were very welcoming to someone just wondering in and Annie and Di (the owner) were great with the service and had some good bar food ( not a very extensive menus but when you get a few drinks in you, who doesn’t want some fried cheese?).”

I'm already looking at a return trip for next fall with my husband.”
