I love this place! I haven't been to Captain D's since I lived in Nashville, TN in the late 1990's. I didn't realize this place was here until relatively recently. The fish and chicken are amazing, the shrimp is very good as well, the hush puppies are soft and delicious, the green beans and corn on the cob were excellent.

I've been to Captain D's several times since they've opened in Macomb County. The employees at the Groesbeck location take great pride in their work that shows up in the quality of service and food they provide. For me, they have broken the stigma of quality fish only exists at high price restaurants. Not true at all. I've tried them all and Captain D's has been consistent in quality of product served, service to the customer, with a great price to boot.

When I was visiting Memphis Tennessee I had got some from there so to find that there was one 30 minutes from me l went and it was delicious and I have been every weekend just hope that you can bring one to Pontiac where I live ?????????????

So this is my opinion..So this is my Second time iv been to this place The lady behind the counter was RUDE AGAIN to me about using a gift card telling me that their was no money on it so I call it to let here hear it and there was money on it it's there card Machine it doesn't work make look like a Fool So I ask to speak to a manager she tells me she was so if she really was the manager she need to take a 101 class Learn how to speak to customers.And get their card machines fixe so I went to captain J's after I left there and my gift card work there with no issues it's shame that I could not get our food there there lost not mine.and once again that's my opinions..plus in side the Store look Nasty...

Friend and I visited around 5:30/6ish on Sat, Jan 27. The young man taking orders, Treyvon, was doing an excellent job. While we were inside ordering our food (to go), he kept his composure while having to deal with a "Karen", complaining about not getting her receipt. While I can understand the frustration of not getting one, and very real fear of identity theft, her threats to call corporate and get him fired and the restaurant shut down were way over the top. She was making a huge scene. Treyvon handled himself well, trying to assist her while also waiting on an increasing number of people in the lobby. We didn't get to see the end of the show, as our food was prepared quickly, so we exited to partake at home. All prepared to order and was delicious. Was not expecting the dinner show, but again, shout out to Treyvon for his all around excellent service and handling of a difficult situation.

But seafood sounded good and, of course, it was nearby.Menu has quite a breadth to it: Salmon, tilapia, whitefish, shrimp, catfish. Sides include healthy stuff like steamed broccoli, green beans & corn on the cob alongside coleslaw, mac & cheese and fried okra.I ordered the 2 piece catfish with slaw and broccoli. The cornmeal coating on the catfish has a nice crunch to it. The "little trees" have good flavor and aren't mushy. Coleslaw was solid, not a sloppy mess or under sauced. Hushpuppies were great, too many places overcook them but not here. A little bland, though.The gentleman at the counter was very polite, jovial and patient while I perused the menu despite having to take drive-thru orders as well.Music was an eclectic mix, not overly loud but could've been a few decibels lower for my taste.For $12 (tax included) I'm satisfied and satiated.Vegetarian options: Might be difficult to find anything off the sides menu for true vegetarians. Pescatarians will be fine.Parking: Plenty of it, front & sideKid-friendliness: Like most restaurants, especially fast-food, very kid-friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Lots of room for wheelchairs & walkers
