We have been coming to this venue for decades; this used to be a health food restaurant called Friar Tucks, where it was conveniently located next to a Weight Watcher meeting place. With all the competition in the area who can blame the owner for flipping this place to have a new modern décor and added incentive of offering alcohol. The wine and cocktail prices are excellent choices with fair prices.
The inside is inviting with an option to sit at either a table or a booth. The new paint and decorations are easy on the eye and offer a relaxing vibe.
There are a lot of choices on the menu, much of the menu remains from it's previous offerings (before renovations). The soups are rock-star delicious. Mom had the Chicken Pot Pie which was dry but she did have a side of gravy to perk it up. I had Fish and chips; the fish was soggy and so/so, the fries were crispy and hot. The silverware was nice and sturdy...not as common as one might think so I appreciated it. The prices are a bit high but not unreasonable given the inflation we have all had to endure the past few years.
Overall, a great meeting place, good food, very nice spirits offering and relaxing vibe.

We drove by this cafe on our way home and decided to stop in for lunch. I got the Cobb salad, my brother got the California omelette and my mom got the grilled cheese. The food was AMAZING. The staff were extremely friendly and warm, they pulled the blinds down when the sun was blaring into our table. The service was fast and checked on us to make sure we were doing okay quite often. Lots of parking and very nice atmosphere!

I had the chicken parmesan, and it was cooked perfectly, as well as the side of spaghetti. And, the sauce was delicious, perfectly seasoned. My brother had the chopped sirloin, and said all he could taste was salt, but the meat was tender, and cooked as ordered. My Dad ordered the ribeye, cooked medium rare, and it was tough, though cooked to order. It was difficult to cut and chew. Things happen, and the server said she would have a new steak cooked for him. Then, came back to the table and said all of the cuts were the same, and asked if he would prefer the new York strip instead. He took her suggestion. She was great and handled everything very well.
What disappointed me was how the owner handled it, and is the reason for my 2 star review. He came back to the table, asked my Dad if he wanted a New York strip instead (this was already handled) and lectured my Dad about how he orders the best meat, and pays $20 a pound for it. And, goes on to say that he will take the first steak off the bill, but wouldn't for a second steak. My Dad is not a complainer, but paying $26 for a meal, it should be edible. You could tell he was having a difficult time cutting and chewing it. And, this was not the case with the New York strip. The owners tone was accusatory, rude, and completely unprofessional. This was my second time at the restaurant, my first time was a pleasant experience. I was extremely disappointed this time

First visit. Friendly service and great breakfast. Some nice healthy options. Had the protein breakfast: 2 poached eggs, turkey sausage and oatmeal. Others had omelets and well done hash browns (actually nice and crispy). We will be back!

We had an exceptional dining experience. The food was outstanding, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Our waitress, Lauren, provided excellent service. The Bloody Mary was particularly impressive. We have definitely found our new weekend spot!
First time, at this establishment. HUGE difference from the previous restaurant. The atmosphere is welcoming and contemporary. Our server was spectacular! The owner is out on the floor and talking to the guests. I went in the first time as a guest and left as a friend. The menu is large with some unexpected twists on the regular!! Lastly, restroom and restaurant....CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!!!!! DEFINITELY A NEW GO TO PLACE!!
