I grabbed some breakfast, sausage gravy, and biscuits. They were great, came with potatoes which I was not a fan of. Overall, this was a good quick bite to eat. They have a really large menu. Breakfast is served all day. No sweet tea for us, southerners.lol
I was in your restaurant with my family Saturday, July 5 for breakfast. Our server was wonderful, but the staff at the cash register and a manager(?) are doing your restaurant and customers a great disservice by breaking the law regarding the credit surcharge.
First, in the state of Michigan, restaurants that choose to add a surcharge are legally permitted to charge only the amount Visa or Mastercard charges, which is typically 1.5-3 percent, not 4 percent.
Second, no surcharge can be added to a debit card even if it’s run as credit. I paid by debit Saturday.
I questioned the charge to staff who became belligerent. There was no sign on the front door or at the register, as is required by law. Staff said there used to be a sign on the door, but it became frayed so it was removed.
I’m reporting this illegal activity to Mastercard through Michigan’s consumer protection department, and I wanted you to know why.
My sisters and I’s food was not good at all. Our food came out cold, then my pancakes and eggs were not cooked at all. My sisters grilled cheese was cold and wasn’t fully cooked. The waitress was not friendly at all.
Good food.
Their food quality was good, and they had a large selection of ethnic options. The service we received was great.

Anytime I come to Coldwater I always stop here to eat. I love their food and the waitress are friendly. The solarium is awesome.
