Thank goodness for anniversaries, birthdays and special events. While you can order your cake anytime, we usually wait for special events. This strawberry shortcake is a harmonious blend of sweetness and freshness. The sponge cake is incredibly soft and light, almost floating and melting in your mouth. It's mildly sweet, which allows the natural flavor of the strawberries to shine through. The whipped cream is light, not too sweet, and has a smooth, velvety texture that pairs perfectly with the cake and strawberries. The balance between the sweetness of the cake and cream, and the tartness of the strawberries, is exceptional.

The texture is a standout feature of this cake as with all their cakes. The sponge cake is fluffy and moist, providing a delicate base for the layers of whipped cream and strawberries. The cream is whipped to a soft, cloud-like consistency that doesn’t overwhelm the palate. The strawberries add a slight crunch and juiciness, offering a nice contrast to the softness of the cake and cream.

As always this strawberry shortcake is visually appealing, (it’s Japanese folks ?) with its clean and simple presentation. This cake is decorated with strawberries and my favorite, blueberries on top, which adds a vibrant pop of color against the white whipped cream. It’s finished with a dusting of powdered sugar or a light drizzle of syrup, making it look as delightful as it tastes. This strawberry shortcake is a must-try. All the other cakes are magnificent too.
