10/12/24 arrived after their rush, all elements of our visit were to notch. We've been patrons of Gest for years on and off due to distance but, never dissatisfied. All ways good food! ?
Not an option below so hubs enjoys the Popeyes omelet. The Tuscan avocado toast of the chart.

First time in. Went for a late breakfast on a Sunday. No waiting, service was wonderful. Even the owner came out to ask how everything was and introduce himself. I had the 2 egg potato pancake omelet - growing up with a grandmother who made the best potato pancakes, I can attest these meet my approval (many do not). My son had a traditional breakfast, the pancake was huge and crispy on the outside. Everything else was very good. We will definitely be back!

First time here and could not figure out what to eat. The server suggested a make your own omelette. Jammed almost a piece of everything on the menu into an omelette! The 3 egg make your own omelette was a monster of a breakfast. Topped it with hollandaise and filled it with ham, hashbrowns, peppercinis, green peppers and about 6 or 7 other things. You don't have to do as much, but when you can't decide, you might do the same! It was not just a big breakfast but a good breakfast.

Under new ownership. Brought back memories from pre-Covid. Met the owner who came out and greeted each table. Really nice.

Arrived after 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13. Instead of a pleasant greeting, being we were the only ones in the restaurant, we were greeted by a server with a vacuum cleaner that stated "You know we close at 2:30." My husband wanting a Western omelette was the reason we went there. I chose not to eat. The egg portion of his omelette was 'flat and a lackluster overcooked yellow', as well as dried out around the edges, not fluffy and lightly browned like Cindy or her chef cooked them. The ground ham was horrible and the cheese was sooo extremely melted that you couldn't even tell there was cheese on it, visually or by tasting it. Considering the quality, the price was atrocious at $14.56 for just an omelette. To add insult to injury, a glass of orange juice was $3.64! The service was impersonal and poor, as seemed more concerned about closing than providing good service. I was so disgusted with the whole experience that I told the server at check out. Her response was that I received a cash discount for paying cash....like that justified the whole experience. Duh?#! I do not like that policy either. Didn't look at the coin she gave me due to my disgust, but later noticed she actually shorted me $.20. Asked for a receipt and, also later noticed, it was a partial one without the price of the omelette listed and no date. (Cut off by printer.) I figured out the price myself to list it above. This is the first time in my life of several decades that I did not leave a tip. We used to eat there several times a month when owned by Cindy. The omelettes were excellent and a unique culinary experience, so different in texture and appearance than omelettes in other restaurants. This place has definitely declined in all areas! This was the third and last time I have been in there since it changed hands.
