This is a very large Kroger location with a ton of food options. I would give 5 stars except there are times when there aren't enough people to help you check out and the U Scan machines can be troublesome and slow. I've also experienced times when they were out of stock on items. Aside from that the food is fresh and options are plentiful.
Constantly understaffed with huge lines. Juvenile and rude workforce. I cannot recommend avoiding this location enough
Kroger on Commerce Rd and Union lk Rd has become horrible! The produce department has been terrible for a few years now, the prices are too high and they rarely have anyone working at the customer service desk as well as the majority of the regular check out lanes are closed so your forced to do self checkout that all have extremely long lines with very few employees which also double as customer service desk workers so they often need to be removed from the self checkout area to assist people with customer service. This is not the fault of the in-store employees but it is 💯 percent the fault of Kroger Corporate. Kroger Corporate does not care in the slightest how the shoppers feel, they have pretty much bought out most of the competition in all the surrounding areas so to shop anywhere else would be a much further drive and an inconvenience. We have started making that farther drive and we've been enjoying the cleaner stores, quicker check-outs, better prices and much better quality produce and meat.
Excellent service with Alvin tonight! So grateful for his kindness.
If I could’ve put a zero, I would have the deli department has the rudest people I have ever met came in on a Sunday and I’m a very positive face person. I was ignored for at least 10 minutes by the chubby guy and the short, dark haired girl, and when he finally came over to help me, I said hi how are you and he jumped on my throat and said how do you think I am my counter is empty Which is not my fault. I continue to smile and ask him for what I wanted. The next time I came in, I had the short, dark haired girl who again ignored me for at least six minutes when she came over. And could not have cared less my feeling is is that this is the culture of Kroger. It starts from the top if you have owners and bosses who don’t give a crap neither to their The employees perhaps they should pay their employees more and treat them better so they want to treat their customers better unfortunately Lake and it’s the only grocery store I have I miss Hillers and so does everybody else in that community and unfortunately Kroger could not give a crap about it. They just know they have a monopoly on our area. Good job Kroger you guys suck.
Garbage service. Always a long line to check out. Every time I check out, something glitches and I need a worker to let me finish. Never had a good experience. Go to literally any other grocery store. Employees are always super nice. Its poor management and decisions from higher ups. If I could give it 0 stars I would.
Rarely anything in stock, probably the worst Kroger around here.
Kroger is always busy they do an awesome job if their computer stays online
Shopped at this location Dec. 23 for a few items I forgot when doing my full shop at another Kroger location the day prior. It was complete chaos. No managers around directing the lines. No anyone around for that matter. Half the registers closed, few baggers, and only one person manning the self checkout with constant blinking lights stalling the process. I waited an hour in line. No exaggeration. Understandable to have a longer than usual wait just prior to the holiday but other than Disney World you should not have to wait a full hour in line. This caused extreme frustration from those waiting and short tempers with some customers yelling at others. Lines where to the back of the store blocking items for customers trying to shop. Elderly people stuck in a mangled mess of carts. This is one of the worst managed Krogers. Always has been but on this day they deserve an award for being total and complete failure to their patrons.
This place keeps getting worse with self checkout availability. They close more staffed lanes and it takes forever. Plus half the self check outs have issues or aren’t open. Disappointing.

Not my favorite store. There seems to be not much staff, so that can cause long lines. The White Lake store has more square footage, so they have more variety. However, I want to give Brian (self-checkout area on 12/17/24) a 5 star review! He is always so kind and helpful. He has great situation awareness and works quickly to help keep everyone moving.
Used to be my go to location but now everything is overpriced (10-50 cents higher than Meijer down the road) on almost everything in the store. Their deals are sometimes very good but you will have to battle no lanes open and 1-2 U-scans actually working and being functioning.
Expect to wait at least 5-10 minutes to checkout because of broken machines, machines not being put on for whatever reason or just lack of lanes open. They really seem to have the least amount staffed as possible to make the most profit. It is really sad.
My favorite grocery store. If there's any "specialty" items, this is a good place to go.
Shop here often but probably looking for somewhere different soon.
They only ever have one or two actual cashiers despite the ridiculously long lines in those lanes and the even longer lines in self check out.
No excuse other than greed to not have a couple cashiers available when it gets busy….
Pretty good selection, decent prices. Cramped store, I feel bad for the employees. The people working on the floors all are nice and helpful, but the whole company seems to get worse every year.
