Leo's Coney Island

I have been going to this Leos for over 20 years, I used to work next-door at the tanning salon when that whole plaza was built, and I would get lunch or dinner from there almost every day. Today I went in to get two Greek salads and wanted extra feta on them, I got home 20 minutes away from where I picked up the food in White Lake and I open it and there is absolutely no feta. So I call to let them know what happened and the woman who has been there the whole time I have known the place to be open told me to never return back to this location just because I had a complaint. This is unacceptable and ridiculous to tell me I cannot return because of a simple complaint and I have pictures to prove it, but she did not want to see the pictures she just hung up… I know a lot of people in this community, I have been working in this area for 22 years and I have never been treated so poorly at a local restaurant. Next time, I guess I will go elsewhere

We've been dining at Leo's in Commerce for years. Today, I had a two piece fish and chips dinner and it was very good. My wife had a Greek salad, which was huge and also very good. The staff is always pleasant and attentive.

We've been eating here for years, and keep trying to eat here out of loyalty and what i remember as good food, but lately the food and service are lacking. Even the atmosphere isn't great anymore. Kinda dirty feeling. What happened to wearing Leos poles or tshirt? The staff wereall wesring whatever and the woman running the register looked like she was in her pjs (short shorts and a tank top) however she was friendly. Nothing horrible as far as our experience but honestly I keep wondering why I keep going. Mediocre at best. An employee I know said service and quality of food depend on if the owners are there. Kinda sad.

This Leo’s is very unsanitary and nasty. I ordered a caesar salad that was not very good at all and I found a bug in it. The staff took it off the bill but did nothing further, the cooks didnt even look at the bug. I am sure no kitchen cleaning was done to prevent any more bugs in the food so I would not recommend eating here. Terrible food and very gross, I will never eat here again.

Yo I havent even ate yet. Can yall please update your bathroom stalls? I hate when I gotta take a dookie and there are gaps between the door and the stall. Why people gotta see me dookie. Dookie time is sacred time. Dookie time is private time. I dont wanna share this moment with anyone.

Update: It's been 5 years from this review and it's the same stuff. Hasn't gotten any better, staff is incompetent in getting a carry out order right. Go to L George's instead.

Ive ordered Door Dash from here and sat in and ate. If you order from them with Door Dash, be sure to expect missing items. Everytime Ive ordered from them somethings missing or wrong. Even if you make notes for each item and everything. I was told the owner would call me back to resolve the issue. That was a hour ago. The best thing I could do through Door Dash was get a credit. Basically they suck in this sense.

Ive ate in here plenty of times, and honestly its hit or miss. Ive gone there and it was amazing. Also had rock hard fries and cold hamburgers. Wish they would get their crap together because I normally enjoy going to Leos. Once I have a great experience, I might change my rating.

Food is good. Staff is nice, but have been rushed last few visits causing mistakes.

Ordered through door dash, loose coneys crammed in a small Styrofoam container, cheese sticks only only 1 had cheese in it the rest on the bottom of container, hallow and burnt, the most disappointing was the hot fudge cream puff, cream puff was rock hard and crumbled in my hands and the hot fudge...no idea what it was but 2 tablespoons of it, clearly not enough but didn't use it as it was gritty and greasy. I most definitely do not recommend eating here! $40 in the garbage and they don't even try to make things right!
