A great spot for good beer in a very cool/chill environment. It's a warm refuge in the winter and a wonderful summer hang with their garage door open or the side patio, you really can't go wrong. Plus, all the beer is top tier.

Nicest workers EVER! Was on a trip to the Grand Rapids area and stopped on a recommendation from my daughter. They were closed but they served us anyways knowing we had intentionally come there. The blueberry lavender lager was delicious as well as their sour. Thoroughly enjoyed them on the patio. Thank you Speciation for your hospitality! Will stop again next time we are in the area (during regular business hours!)

My favorite place in GR. Jane, Eric, and Liz are the best!! Unique beers, rotating special cocktails, trivia, live music, and pop ups! While they specialize in sours, their lager is one of the best lagers I’ve had… not to mention their stout…. The best! We take everyone here!

Very cool spot for a great beer and some live music. They do not serve food but they are food friendly if you want to bring something in. They have some unique sours, great IPAs, and amazing ciders. I would absolutely recommend checking them out!

1st time stop and was very surprised at the Great tasting sours they had. No parking in back all spots are marked for the apartments so we parked on the street up front no biggy. If you dig Sours make the stop and enjoy their twist on this good style beverage.

Speciation is intimate and comfortable. If you want to experience alchemy in a glass, come try one of their pastry sours!!!Panoptic and Macronage are sour ales made made with various pastries and sweet goodies. In my 20 years as a beer affecianado, I have never had beers in which I could so distinctly taste everything it was brewed with! I don't know how they've done it, but it's breathtaking, and you should try them!!!

This is a great local brewery. The space they have is very inviting, the staff are very friendly and their beer is fantastic! I tried their Margarita sour and my friend had the blueberry lavender lager and both were great! Highly recommend if you are in the area and like beer!

Great place! It’s a bit tucked away, but that’s just makes it an even better hidden gem. The beer is good, the vibe is cool, and it’s family/kid friendly (as friendly as any brewery could be, at least)

Loved the space, beer, and service. Maybe the best beer we had in our grand rapids tour. They had live music. It was too loud and obnoxious for me and not my cup of tea. Couldn't talk to anyone through it. But I recommend this place if you love beer
