I was only there for about an hour and a half back in May. I will definitely vist again the next time I'm in Grand Rapids. I like the raw nostalgic feel it presents. I felt completely comfortable.
The Meanwhile Bar is a staple in Grand Rapids. It's funky, local, and a great time. The patio is a vibe.
Been going here a few yrs now. Mike, Paige, Cam & Ryan(shorter one, since there are 2 Ryans) are great for sure! Super nice, attentive, & friendly people. Bar is sometimes busy on weekends but they are quick. There are pinball machines also, a few board games there, and an outside area with umbrellas or not for seating & enjoying the sun. It's a nice spot on the east side with a good patio space, an excellent venue for some euchre with friends. The friendly staff and welcoming environment make it a place where people can go in and mind their own business while having a beer.
