I have been a loyal customer every Ramadan for years, specifically for Osmaleye and Shaaybeyat. However, I was very disappointed with the platter I purchased this week. . The Osmaleye had too much crust and barely any Ashta, making it dry and overly crunchy. Even more disappointing, the Shaaybeyat was soggy and tasted like it was from the previous day’s batch. It’s disappointing to see the quality drop so much compared to previous years. I hope they go back to their original recipe and focus on freshness again. I was also telling my friend about what happened and she had told me exactly the same issue with her and that was on different day !

Very disappointed. I ordered a tray of sweets through DoorDash, and it arrived completely unsealed. Just sitting inside an open paper bag. There was no plastic wrap, no tamper seal, nothing to ensure food safety.
When I called, the employee said, “We don’t wrap orders that’s how we send them,” and offered no solution or replacement. That response was unacceptable. Basic safety precautions should be standard for delivery orders. I will not be ordering again.

Whether you’re grabbing something for yourself or bringing desserts for family and guests, this place never disappoints. I purchased a birthday cake for my daughter on Tuesday, January 27. While the cake decorations, including a delicious frosting, strawberries and kiwi were beautifully displayed, the cake batter itself was extremely dry. I was disappointed in that it lacked flavor and was EXTREMELY dry‼️

I placed an order for a white cake with black frosting. They showed me the cake and it looked pretty nice, but what I didn’t know was that it’ll literally melt within a couple of hours. On top of that while I was picking it up, one of the workers pushed it aside to ring up another customer. She smashed the cardboard into the cake and I decided to check when I got home to see. I left it in the fridge for a couple of hours till my event started and then I took it out. To my surprise, the black frosting looked like it was literally melting, on the sides and on the top. I called back a day or two later to tell them about it because no one informed me about anything like that happening. One of the workers spoke to me and said the owner will call me back ….. it’s January 13 and I called her on the 28th of December. Beware when ordering , you will not be informed that the coloring on their cakes will spread and look like it’s melting off. The cost $75

Dearborn sweets USE to be the spot for amazing and fresh dessert. In the span of 2 years the quality of all desserts has plummeted. I use to love every single thing they sold & one by one they have lost the essence and quality of each and every item. This cheese cake was expensive and by far the worst thing iv tasted. The strawberry glaze smelled like Elmer’s glue and tasted like Pennie’s and candle wax. And I wish I was exaggerating it’s literally Inedible. It’s a shame because I would go purchase dessert for any and all occasions but I’d much rather go to Kroger or Walmart instead. Rising cost should reflect the value and quality of your desserts, do better!

Dearborn Sweets never disappoints! The cake is absolutely delicious soft, fresh, and full of flavor. Honestly, their sweets are amazing, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. I truly enjoy everything I’ve tried from them. Highly recommended!
So I called an asked for a order ..they asked when I want it told them now lol ..told me I had to come pay in advance mind you I have been here plenty of times an they never told they people that ..nor have they ever offered me any food to try I have bought everything. Last time giving them my hard earned money

Very disappointed. I was given a cake that was clearly not fresh, it tasted old and dry, like it had been sitting out for days. For the price I paid, I expected something freshly made, not something that feels like leftovers. I went around noon, so maybe that’s when they try to get rid of yesterday’s leftovers. Don’t ever go around that time.
