What a shame what this place turned into This used to be one of the most iconic Lebanese restaurants in Dearborn Now the chicken tenders were so greasy The hummus I don’t know how they made it has no taste of hummus or tahini more like whipped cream
Then they added 18% gratuity on the bill whether you like it or not - you the customer don’t decide how much tip to add !! This was a first for me

I don’t understand if you have food available why you make someone wait an hour and 15 minutes for an order. Like are you slaughtering the food in the back for it to take this long? The guy on the phones goes to the guys in the back, even if you have food available make sure you wait the full hour…. This place makes me question eating halal food, I am at the point where I’m willing to risk eating non halal food not to deal with these unprofessional people. LOL just my two cents worth

The Dearborn location is still the same and better.this is the 1 and only Hamdio original location
So there receipt is hand written & hard to read, total becomes $135 but once counted was $98 they forgot to bring soup we ordered that is minus $5 so will be 93,also they forgot to add extra drink we took for $2 I told the lady that & she came back & fix it so the total now is $132 but when calculated should be$95 as the paperwork said asked her how becomes 132 she, said tax is % &the tip %18 I'm okay to pay tip but not to enforce to pay the tip(I meant to pay $130cash to see there reaction on the $2 to approved that to my self it is required to pay the tip)& I was right they said we need $2 more on the amount they want I can pay more or less this is my point, the taste for grilled chicken was good the tawook wasn't ready to serve need & the sandwich wasn't really & honestly I go there bcz they said they have there own farm to grow chicken as free cage chicken, the hummus was good too, usually I went to some other places where I can pay tip randomly %15 to %25 mostly %20to 22 Like arbeel kebab or Khalaf or the are, so plz we need a good printer to print the details correctly & not to good the food between each order 12 to mins, I didn't mentioned all things to anyone there because they were busy, we are going to go back there& see if anything will changed...update 9/2025 they're doing better there are 2 visits from the first reviews to this now is doing better again you can't add tip to the bill without permission I swear in total you loose $and customers bcz if that my total order almost $100 about to pay $120the total receipt comes less than114.×× the taste if beef shawrma is good the older lady (servant)very good but they still have issues not the order comes at the same time

Absolutely Fantastic Lunch Experience at Hamido!
I went to Hamido Restaurant on Friday for lunch and ordered their Family Platter for Two — and wow, it was easily one of the best Mediterranean meals I’ve had in a long time! The platter came with two soft, fresh naans, perfectly grilled shish kabobs, juicy beef skewers, a generous side of crispy fries, fresh salads, and their signature hummus that’s just out of this world — smooth, creamy, and full of flavor.
Everything was served fresh, hot, and beautifully presented. The portion size was spot-on — more than enough for two people. You can really tell they care about quality and authenticity in every bite.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was cozy and clean — ideal for a relaxing Friday lunch.
Highly recommend Hamido if you’re craving quality Middle Eastern food done right. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon!
