Excellent food and top notch service! We were visiting the area and stumbled upon this place and we were lucky to! The food was delicious, hot and cooked perfectly. The people there were incredibly friendly, accommodating and welcoming! Highly recommend! If we visit this area again, we will definitely be back!

A wonderful “hole in the wall” family owned place. Good food, good people. Please note—they are a Pepsi shop. But lunch was so good that it didn’t matter.

What a gem of a place! Met the owners and they are a treasure! So glad to be their 500th review on Google. For anyone looking for breakfast it’s everything you’d expect from a true mom & pop place - stop looking and go here. Food was excellent, hot, fresh, and delicious. Price was great. Service was great. Their story is great. Not sure how others could give less than 5 stars. You won’t be disappointed- A W E S O M E !

I always look for a place when traveling that feels like home. This is that place. We ate breakfast here 4 days in a row and were never disappointed. Great food, and even more important great people. Visit these folks and you won’t be disappointed. Next time my travels brings me back to Detroit I will be back. In the meantime we will miss visiting with you each morning.

My go to breakfast this week was an omelette with mushrooms, corned beef, and sausage with rye toast and not pictured grits. I’m a bit of a grit snob and these were great.

My family has been enjoying this charming Mom and Pop shop for years, and it truly feels like a second home. The daily specials are always delicious and thoughtfully prepared, and their coffee is some of the best around—fresh, rich, and consistently satisfying. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always greeting us with a smile and treating us like part of the family. Service is quick and efficient, even during busy times. It’s rare to find a place that combines great food, warm hospitality, and a sense of community so effortlessly. Highly recommended!

This place is hands-down one of the best kept secrets in the area. The food is ALWAYS fresh, flavorful, and made to order.

The service? Absolutely top-notch. Joe and Zoya go above and beyond to make sure every visit is great. Their warmth and hospitality elevate the whole experience.

If you’re on the fence about what to order, trust me, start with the onion rings. Joe hand makes them into crispy, golden perfection.

Ok....we are big foodie's and we are VERY picky where we eat. Joe's was fantastic. Small establishment but Joe has a big heart with his love of the grill. The food is plentiful but not so much that you are a glutton. It's the right amount, large eggs, hash browns that are not salty, great coffee and fresh bread. Reasonably priced, clean washrooms, nice plates and the service was top notch. Leaving Toronto for a Detroit getaway always has us excited for the food Detroit. We have never had a bad meal in Detroit and Joe's Top Dog is now on our favorite list. Well done, and fyi... Joe is very appreciative and polite to his customers, that made us feel we are appreciated 👍
