That lady was rude and unpleasant. She made me very uncomfortable and gave me a very nasty dirty look when asking for more pickles and the Tabasco sauce.

The first time I ate here was when dad brought me for lunch, he was a local truck driver and I was along as his helper, this was in the 60's. Best ham sandwich I ever ate. He also knew the owner Lile as a friend. Now I'm in my 70's and still go there, best ham sandwich in town, nothing fancy, just a great meal at a fair price. Try the bean soup, you won't want someone else's after you do

I would say hands down, the best ham sandwich in southeast Michigan. Also the best corned beef sandwich. I love both of them. The soups are both very good. Lots of ingredients, so they are thick, not watery.The menu is limited; Ham or corned beef sandwich, bean or split pea soup. Canned pop and chips are available. To me the limited menu is not a problem. I go there for the ham or corned beef. I'm not looking for other stuff. The ham comes from Dearborn sausage, it's the best.
