Let me tell you we absolutely love the food here and we went 4 times alone within a week and half, we’ll let me tell you tonight was horrible our server was great well it was our first time getting the taco salad, it did not come as described on the menu so we asked to please take it back they sent the owner Frank well he was rude and said nothing is wrong with it and proceeded to walk away well it went on and I was not rude nor disrespectful to him, I explained the 3 prior times we had been here the service was not good and he got very defensive and he proceeded to tell me you know what I will take it off the bill and don’t come back here again, this is the short version I am baffled I’m in disbelief he said I don’t need you $15 and you can’t ruin my business, mind you I had 5 kids and 4 other adults with all of us were in pure disbelief, our poor server was shaking and kept apologizing she did nothing wrong he should be ashamed as a business owner!

The owner Frank was so rude and disrespectful we frequent this place because we absolutely love the food and most of the time the service well Thai week was not there week our server tonight was great but him as a business owner he’s disgusting we had an issue with one of the many items we ordered and he refused to take it back even though the description did not match what we got and I was very respectful and he got out of hand and told us he doesn’t need our business let me tell you I am still in disbelief we unfortunately lost one of our favorite restaurant due to poor ownership

Came here on a whim after our first pick was super crowded and not worth the wait. Incredibly happy with that decision - our server Bobbi was kind, attentive and clearly knew what she was doing, food and drinks were delicious and prices were right. Our whole group left happy. Will be back!

I haven't been to Don Taco in a few weeks (it's far from where I live) but I've been meaning to write a review for *years*. I love this place so much, I practically owe it to them! Their entire staff is consistently friendly and kind, the atmosphere is great (I think I gave them four stars rather than five for atmosphere just because I've grown used to it), and their food is very filling, tasty and affordable. During the pandemic/inflation as all businesses were inevitably raising their prices, I really think Don Taco held out on their original prices for as long as possible, so they stayed affordable even as everyone else was raising their prices. And you can tell from their faces that they're happy to see you back, they're so welcoming.
I literally always eat here every time I'm close by. Highly recommend!!

I'm not as impressed as I was prepared to be. In a town brimming with quality, real Mexican food, this place was disappointing. The prices are high for what you get and what I got just wasn't worth it. The rice and beans were old and tasteless and the street tacos were at least twice as much as what I could get from an actual taco truck. Service was fast and friendly, so there's always that, but I think I'd rather go to Mexicantown from now on.
