I’ve been coming to this location for a while and it’s always a hit or miss. Lately the quality has been going down and older guy never makes the drinks properly and it has a different taste every single time.

Hi so I'm not usually the type to write long reviews like this — I feel kind of lame doing it — but I rlyyy need to say this
I love Qahwah House, just not this location. The drinks here are consistently off — either too sweet, too bitter, or just generally unpleasant. The Adeni chai is pretty solid, but their iced lattes are kinda thick, and they tend to leave a layer of syrup or sweetener at the bottom of the cup. One could assume the novelty is in mixing it yourself, but the syrup or honey (or whatever it is) is so thick that it barely blends, no matter how much you stir.
That’s not even my biggest issue tho. My main complaint is with their matcha. I've tried the regular, banana, and strawberry matcha — each on a separate visit — hoping maybe the last one was just an anomaly, especially since I’ve heard good things about their matcha. But I honestly can’t express how poorly it’s made. The matcha separates almost immediately, clumping at the bottom, which usually means it was either burnt or not prepared correctly. It tastes extremely bitter with a weird artificial aftertaste.
Unfortunately the flavored ones are not any better. On top of the poorly mixed matcha, they add this thick, flavored milk that sits at the bottom of the cup. It kinda just moves around strangely when you try to stir it, kind of like mixing in expired milk. It’s unappetizing and honestly hard to drink because there’s just so many like chunks of this flavored milk liquid thing.
Anyway I really wanted to love this location so this is very saddening for me. I’m done okay bye

“Quite an experience! Loved the tea!” -me three years ago
I’m from out of state and I just returned from my third trip to Dearborn for the sole purpose of finding and enjoying delicious Arabic food. This is my favorite coffee place and I hope (fingers crossed!) they make their way to Denver, CO soon!

There is no better place to hang out into the later hours of the evening than Qahwah House. The service was great, the flavors of the drinks and desserts are second to none, and the atmosphere begs you to stay longer to be with friends and soon to be friends.
