I’ve always loved Shatila—your desserts are consistently amazing and full of flavor. However, I recently tried the Dubai Strawberry Cup and was a bit disappointed. Only about 25% of the cup was actually strawberries, while the rest was mostly kanafeh and chocolate. The flavor was still good, but I expected a more balanced mix, especially given the name.

I ordered kenafah online to be shipped to Washington state; they sent me the driest almost brick like consistency tray of kenafah without syrup and their claim is that it’s sold separately and what they did was merited. I paid $150 (they mandate overnight shipping) for non-edible sweets and terrible service. Never again…

We received a box of baklava as a Christmas gift. I am Middle Eastern origin. So I never expected baklava would be good like that in a box. It was delicious, fresh, and not stale or dry. I felt almost like freshly baked. Highly recommend and also thumbs up for their variety. ?????❤️

Amazing place. High quality desserts. All kind of Baklava and western pastries. Totally worth it to visit. Their products are top quality.
Ordered 3 different desserts . Liked neither one of it . There far away from desserts
Unfortunately, Shatila stopped using real butter in their baklavas years ago. Check the ingredients on the box. All varieties use soybean oil and canola oil now. The taste and texture became noticeably worse after they made this change. I have switched to a different bakery that uses all butter for the same price as Shatila. However, this change has caused a ripple effect as many restaurants nationwide continue to source their baklavas from Shatila even as the quality declines.
Rola is amazing. She's been there for years and I swear I wouldn't go if it wasn't for her excellent service.

Very nice place with excellent serviceVery friendly staff
One of the pastries had a hair in it. Not cool at all.... They were amazing otherwise. Hard to want more tho.
We often order tins of sweets, they arrive in Pennsylvania in good / fresh / delicious condition.
I have been ordering from Shatila in person and online for many years .This last order (Dec. 2022) was the worst quality I've ever had. (Large mixed tray ) . Dry on top and very soggy on bottom .Looks it has been sitting in the box for a very long time .
Their cakes and pastries look beautiful, like high-end baked goods and sweets, with a large selection to choose from. HOWEVER, under the visual appeal is a dry, bland dessert. Their cakes and pastries are not fresh; they taste as if they have been frozen and thawed, removing any moistness from the cakes, and the baklava is just lacking that sweet honey flavor and are also of dry, stale quality. They were much better about 10 years ago. There are so many bakery options in Dearborn - I recommend shopping around and trying some of the less-popular/less-crowded, boutique bakeries in the area.
