I REALLY like this place. The relaxed atmosphere and great food and drinks is what I come for. The service is hit or miss. It’s either amazing service or really slow service. They are never rude, the food and presentation as well as drinks are always good. But the service can be painfully slow, which can ruin the whole experience. I try taking lack of staff into consideration but our waitress wasn’t running around. She just spent a lot of time chatting with a couple at the bar so we were neglected quite a bit. We were literally feet away and we waited and waited for her attention.Pick up on the service and this is a 5 star place for me.
Myself and many others frequent this bar every Saturday night and every time we dine here, we have impeccable service and wonderful food. This is by far the best kept secret in West Dearborn if you want a classy dining experience in an historic hotel, where it’s not loud or party oriented. The steak is a personal favorite. Tonya and her team always provide the best experience possible for my friends and family; and we will continue to visit weekly. Thanks!
Been here a few times and had always had a good experience. Service has been quick and attentive, and the food and drinks have been good. Drinks are on the more expensive side, but to be expected from a hotel bar. Dark and quiet atmosphere in a beautiful hotel.
I don't typically write reviews unless I've had a great experience. The service tonight was horrible and somewhat offensive considering the standards most people would hold for this kind of place/atmosphere. The service was beyond just slow. Staff were rude and it took up to 45 minutes just to get a single drink order . There was very much a "not my job" kind of attitude amongst your staff. As someone who's worked in HR I'd consider rehiring or retraining before they leave a bad taste in your customer's mouths. Good luck
We made reservations to have dinner at a place we've enjoyed some years ago. We arrived to find an unlit place as dark and dismal as a cave. We would not have been able to see our food, much less read a menu, much less see a dinner companion. We left without having dinner. Edison's is closed for dinner, and Ten Eyck is a bat cave. Too bad for the Dearborn Inn.
With the shortage of help, this was our only option in the hotel after a 500 mile drive. It was good, with a burger and beer served quickly. The waitress (poor dear!) was overworked—the hotel simply can’t find staff. But passable dinner, and convenient.
We visited every night of our stay at the Dearborn Inn. We had dinner one night which everyone enjoyed. Drinks were good. Service is excellent and friendly. It can get very noisy when big groups descend, but you can take your drinks to the beautiful, peaceful lobby.
We had dinner here since we were staying at the The Dearborn Inn. We had a reservation and I felt Covid comfortable because the tables were well spaced out. We started with cocktails and the staff did a nice job on these. Our waitress, Laura, was attentive, efficient and pleasant. Our entrees, the fish (perch I think) and short ribs were both very, very good. The accompanying vegetables were delicious. I expected a very mediocre meal and was delighted to get a high quality dinner. The price was reasonable.
Wife & I recently stayed at the Dearborn Inn to visit The Henry Ford. The Ten Eyck Tavern did not disappoint. Appropriately historic and classy for this hotel. We tried it our first night and liked it enough to go back the second night rather than drive somewhere. Menu is limited and currently no draft beer options, but still nicer than average "bar food". Very nice ambience, even with 4-5 TV's, and quiet enough to have a conversation. Wife had very nice Michigan salad both nights - once with salmon, once with chicken. Very pleased with both. I had perch dinner first night with house chips & mixed veggies - very good. Second night was a salmon burger - which was a nice, well prepared chunk, not ground up. Recommend the Ten Eyck Tea mixed drink. Refreshingly different & light. Probably also pretty alcoholic, but hard to tell. Bit pricey, but comes in a large 12 oz. draft beer glass. Only two servers working the room both nights, but both were very pleasant and provided good service. Definitely recommend if staying at the Dearborn Inn. If not...,? I'm not familiar with other options c!ode by.
My wife and I had dinner in the Ten Eyck during a recent stay at the Dearborn Inn, as dining options at the Inn are still limited. Because this restaurant is basically a sports bar rather than a formal dining room, diners should expect that the menu will consist largely of burgers, sandwiches, and similar casual fare. Our soups (French onion soup and lobster bisque) were very good; my Reuben sandwich was good, but my wife was disappointed with her chicken entree, which was made with a leg and thigh rather than breast meet). Our server was friendly and reasonably attentive.

The atmosphere of this bar is upscale and comfortable. The drinks were reasonably priced. I had two lemon drop martinis, and they were made perfectly. The bartenders were friendly and fast with service.
The Dearborn Inn has a lovely gem called the Tea Eyck Tavern. Attending a medical conference, I decided to stop in for some of their signature entrees. Today, I came for the Tea Eyck Tea, a dozen wings with sweet chili sauce, and the famous Tea Eyck burger with a very thick cut of bacon. I decided to give up the house made chips, and I got a cup of fresh fruit. The service and meal were all excellent. This gem is worth coming to the Dearborn Inn for.
We were guests at the Dearborn Inn and had a couple of meals at the Ten Eyck. the choices were good. They had a great lobster bisque and an appetizer of home made chips with dill dip that is as good as I have eaten anywhere. They have a nice wine selection and the service was awesome. Our waitress was excellent.
Met up with some friends form out of town here as the were visiting the Henry Ford Museum close-by. In short, service was excellent, the food was outstanding and you couldn't ask for a better spot for a casual dinner and drinks with friends. The fish and chips are really excellent, made on the premises and not from out of a box. The cod was perfectly battered and fried to perfection and really, really tasty. The perch was also fantastic and again, perfectly cooked. My friend stated the tenderloin sliders were excellent, and the in-restaurant made potato chips they came with were addicting and really plentiful. So plentiful in fact the the three of us had to work to finish them off but it was worth the work. The beer from the taps was nice and cold. The service was exceptional and the waitress friendly, efficient, and she went out of her way to make the place very inviting. In short, I can highly recommend this spot.
After having a disastrous dinner at the high-end Edison’s restaurant in the hotel, I decided to have a casual dinner at the hotel pub. So glad I did! Lots of people were having a good time and the tv’s added to the fun. The menu had many good choices. I decided on their burger and sweet potato fries. Burger was cooked as I ordered and very tasty. The bun they used was delicious. The fries were cooked to perfection. I would definitely return to the pub if I am ever in the areaagain.
